I am selling some Barbies, and one I just sold was for 135.00 so it's a collectable quality. The priority mail boxes I have just barely fit the boxes.
Is it OK to just slide it in and ship it that way, or do you guys think I need to go out and purchase boxes big enough to accept some packing material?
I know this is probably a personal choice, and maybe even a dumb question, but I'm curious what is expected on these types of items.

I'm not an expert on this, so maybe someone else will have a better take on this than me. However, if it was me, I would put the Barbie box in a plastic bag and seal it with tape to protect it from moisture and also any scuffing. Then I would wrap it securely in bubble wrap or foam and then in a priority box where it can't move around so that the corners won't get bumped or crushed. If there are empty spaces in the box I would fill them with peanuts. JMHO.

For any dolls in boxes or anything of that fragile nature I send, I use an 18x12x10 box, bubblewrap the doll box, and fill it up with packing peanuts.

I ship pink box Barbies in priority box #1095. I bubble wrap them and fill the rest of the box with peanuts. But I would use a bigger box for a doll that expensive.

Oh good, because I just got some 18x12x10 and did it that way. I didn't do bubble wrap but I did wrap in plastic back and taped so it wouldn't have any moisture. I have bubble wrap on the way for next time.

A couple of years ago, I sold some Barbies on eBay. I packed them in a box much bigger than the Barbie box and surrounded the Barbie box with peanuts. I had no complaints about my packaging!
