Is it permissbale to have more than one id. with the same address? I tried to register for a second id and it wouldn't let me. I know people do it, question is can I do it and be honest about it.

Sure you can legally do it. Honesty has nothing to do with it. I did it but I vaugely remember it would not take, it took some real brainstorming but I finally did it. Many people have two or more. Good Luck. You cannot use the same is e mail address if that is what you mean by address. Dream up a new handle for e bay.

Thanks a lot!
Wonder if there are technical difficulties with registration, comforting huh, in case soemone new wants to come along and bid on our auctions!

As far as registration goes, yes, they only track based upon billing information. If you get suspended and they believe you have other accounts they will use their InfoGlide system and check against the same credit card, billing address, etc.
However, at one point I had an account suspended for listing violations but only for 14 days (thanks to a competitor). Ebay did NOT suspend my 4 other accounts ALL using the same credit card information, etc. The only difference was the e-mail. Now if they wanted to look, they could have, and could have suspended all the accounts.
They also track your IP at the time of registration and that goes on file with your account. That is in case of fraud, they can see if any accounts registered using the same IP address. Many people think they DON'T do this, but I know for a fact they do. I have actually seen inside their InfoGlide system.
So the basic jist here is that unless you are planning to commit FRAUD, you should be fine with the same information, but just different e-mails.

Well, I have a second user ID that is sitting in limbo because when I tried to put my credit card in and address they said they didn't need it because I was already registered. Yes I was already registered but all I wanted was a second ID. I wrote customer support about 10 emails about this and they still didn't understand. I got a different credit card entered that with my name and address and they wouldn't accept that either, so there sits this user ID and nobody is using it because ebay customer support is so dumb they can't understand what I want to do. They will not accept phone calls. They don't do business that way. AW a different story. they accepted my second user ID, same credit card. No problem there. You gotta love ebay employees.
