I am starting to have customers tell me the shipping was listed as 0 and they won't sent the shipping on their items.I feel like they are just being hateful as some are ignoring my e-mails. I plan on relisting the items after filing NBA on them, I also plan on giving them a big fat NEG.I am now stating in my auctions that they must pay shipping cost as listed in the auction or I will return the payment if I don't receive the full payment. If that don't work I guess I will dump Billpoint like everyone else. But other than this problem I would rather keep the checkout although nothing works in the E-Bay store, they are not able to checkout at all with it.

I'm sure your problem is probably to be blamed on the new checkout feature, but once in a while we get some tightwad who refuses to pay our (Reasonable) shipping fees.

Since we run a "real" retail store as well as selling online, we simply send the buyer an e-mail thanking him for his purchase, and let him know the item is ready for pick-up and include our store hours. This has happenedour or five times in the past year, and every single time, the buyer has come back and paid for shipping.

After all, if they want to pay for the item and don't want to pay shipping we won't force them to pay it. It's just a REALLY long drive for people

Tell them you checked with the PO and they don't care what "Checkout" said, No postage, No Delivery!

We've had no problems as of yet as we don't use checkout, but I'm sure it could happen.

You would think that Ebay in their infinite wisdom could make a few changes to avoid potential problems.

I post this prior to my auction description on EVERY one of my auctions now......this way at least if I run into this, I can say they did not read the auction terms prior to biddng.............

ATTENTION AUCTION WINNERS!!!
WHEN THIS AUCTION ENDS, PLEASE IGNORE EBAY'S NEW CHECKOUT FEATURE.......

I DO NOT RESPOND OR PARTICPATE IN THIS FEATURE OR BILLPOINT!

I WILL MAKE CONTACT WITH YOU AT THE END OF THIS AUCTION AND

This new system is horrible....I have been on Ebay for a long time...but this system is the worst....I have about 20 items where the people have not sent the postage and they said it says shipping and handling included....this is from the first weekend it started....One guy wants his money back to avoid paying shipping charges....I told him I would gladly refund his money....minus my listing fees...final fee and the amount that billpoint charged me to process his credit transaction....He said he was going to turn me into ebay for not refunding his money.....Any suggestions!!!

As everyone else I had to cancel billpoint..but if this is the only way to get out of the checkout system than I will..

Every person on earth knows that shipping cost money, so to assume that it is free with an auction purchase is ridiculous.

If a buyer is unwilling to pay shipping because of the flaws in the eBay checkout feature, relist the item and move on with your life. Don't let these idiots cause you any trouble. Let ebay worry about fixing the problem. After all, these problems are eventually goign to effect eBay's revenue stream and when they do, Meg will be very quick to fix the problem.

I put my shipping and terms in the TOS. That is what stands as it came FROM ME. The email from ebay is NOT from me and they do not have my authorization to spread false information to my customers.

That said, I don't put anything in Checkout -- and it shows as "-" and is not an option.

I did recently have a buyer who failed to read the auction clearly (took three times for him to read it all the way through). He groused at my shipping charge ($5). He found out after the auction and called me all sorts of names and accused me of ripping him off. He paid, however. I'm expecting an much undeserved NEG from this guy.

Thesportszone If it were me I would apply for my listing fees for the guy not paying shipping charges and NEG him. These jerks being cute WILL get the message after E-bay chunks their sorry butt off E-bay for not complying with the terms of the auction.
