I use Auction Watch to put on my auctions. Ebay will only let me revise certain auctions and not other ones. Is anyone else haveing this problem and how can I fix it?

Ohhhh Ohhhh, I know!!!......Assuming you have a chair that turns... rotate 3 times around all the while singing zippity-do-da. Stop, close your eyes and hit any key.
Basically.......you've got me! But hey, give it a try!
Let me know if it works!

Val, I couldn't resist!!

Yes I have been able to revise auction but hit and miss just like you are saying.

Some are saying down load opera web browser and you will be able to revise on ebay with out problems but I have not tried it..

Hi

Someone else posted this question and one answer was:

Once you revise (before you click submit), please wait for a couple of minutes and then click submit.

For whatever reason, this waiting period seems to work. I have tried it and it works most of the time. Otherwise, I keep clicking and going back and forth until it "catches" and the auction is resubmitted.

Hope this helps.

Jeff

Some auctions work and some don't. I'm ready to do the spinning in a chair thing but I would get dizzy and probably fall out of my chair. I'll keep trying. Thanks all!

Waiting is the answer.

I too have this problem forever. Now I always just wait.

Try it. Revise what you need, scroll to the bottom and WAIT 2-3 MINUTES click continue and WAIT 2-3 MINUTES then click submit.

This option works everytime for me.

Response above was correct.

Download Opera from www.opera.com. Install it. Revise auctions on eBay. End of story.

Who the h#ll has the time to wait 2 or 3 minutes per auction? (Although I like the idea of spinning in my chair...)

Hi -- we have heard from many users experiencing this problem, and unfortunately we have been unable to replicate it from here or find a commonality. It would be helpful to know if this is affecting only certain templates - please post back and let us know which templates you are using when you experience this.

We are aware that at times the problem can be caused by certain html "tags" like those used to create our templates.

Thank you in advance for any specifics you can provide.

Regards,

Diana

Hi Diana,
About 10 minutes ago I revised an auction using template 24 ( white text, black background), and I hit the proverbial brick wall when I clicked on continue. I got the "unable to display this page" message. I tried 3 times ( with IE5) and gave up. I switched to Opera 5.0 and revised it without a hitch. There's something either at Ebay or AW that doesn't want to get along with Internet Explorer.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

I mainly use template 19. And if you want I will allow you to attempt to revise any of my auctions to see if you get the same problem I do.

Email me if you want to try to revise an auction.

Thanks,

Diana - I use the blank template and no theme. I create my own HTML in FrontPage and then add it to AW.

I have the Paypal logo - no JScript - and still cannot revise a listing sent via AW to eBay unless I use Opera.

Good luck hunting this one down - even eBay seems to have no clue as to "why" it happens.

My first post was erased by moderator so I will try again. I'm sure it won't be here long but it might give people a clue.

THIS ONLY HAPPENS TO AUCTIONS LISTED THROUGH AW!

I had the same problem when I used their service but do not have it with another. Since this is just a truthful statement I do not know why they choose to delete it but you really should know!

Thank you for the information - we've been looking at this problem for some time, and have not been able to isolate the cause. We'll continue to look into it, but note that many users who create their own templates using more than basic html experience the same problem. The problem seems to be related to the use of complex html in the description field.

Regards,

Diana

Years and years ago I use to sell on ebay (so long ago can't remember that ID name anymore or anything associated with it). I didn't use AW back then but straight listings on Ebay. When I found the need to revise a listing I had this problem of revising my item then hitting review (think that's the button) and waiting for the review to come up to hit submit. But also had to go back and forth with my browser buttons before the review would come up properly to do the submit. I get the exact same thing now when I click on revise listing on my auction page and go through the steps, back and forth until the review page finally loads in entirely so I can submit. Since I had the problem before using AW and now that I'm using AW I honestly don't think it's an AW problem, but an Ebay server problem. But I'm definitely going to get opera to stop the problem.
