Hi,

Please feel free to send me the information to [email protected]. I would like to have this looked at by our merchant team.

Thank you for your patience.

This is a sad commentary on the effects of the 9/11 tragedy. Most of us experienced a downturn in sales and have not yet recovered.

In addition, I can assure you that Meg and company have made inroads on the Paypal market share. As much as some of us loathe the way they did AFA, eBay payments, Checkout, BIN and the like, the end result is that for the first time there is a greater proportion of Billpoint sales than Paypal sales.

Paypal, which is the better service, is in for hard competition, and should reconsider whether they want to hit their already hurt sellers when they are down. After all, these sellers are still using Paypal and this change in rate could cause them to leave. I would. Reason? It has become more work to process a Paypal sale than a Billpoint one. Time is money.

Paypal already has a lot of enemies out there, is in the middle of an IPO offering, and has yet to make a profit. I am sure this is seen as a step toward profitability, but I would think they would do whatever it takes to keep their sellers on their side.

After all, it is only good business. Then again, I am convinced on-line businesses are oblivious to what is really going on, and misjudge just how precarious their status is at any given moment.

you can always re apply for merchant rate.
you can use the debit card and help paypal makes some money and save yourself some money too.
paypal charges merchant a discount fee and pass on 1 1/2 % to you.
the cost of doing business is rising in cyberland, soon it will be the same as brick and mortar.

I expect the email any day now also, they gave me the merchant rate because Billpoint did, then Billpoint lowered my fees to 1.75% so I started advertising them, I then get an email saying they were going to take away my cash bonus on the debit card because I had Billpoint ads in my auctions.

I really don't care if they take away either one of those benefits. I accepted a $38 Billpoint payment the other day and the fee was .97. Makes no difference to me on the debit card, got tired of using it just to get the cash back, Billpoint deposits my payments the very next day into my account so no big deal if Paypal punishes me.
