I guess that straightens it all out. The Red Cross collected 543 million and in 2 months have given out 121 million. That leaves 422 million that they were going to try to hide at least 200 million of for???

My opinion is they got caught and now they are giving this BS story to try to cover up. If I took up a collection for a friend or neighbor that was killed and gave his family less than 25% of what I collected it would be illigal and I would be thrown in jail.

No matter what my plan was to do with the rest of the money (like save 40% for a future death of a friend or neighbor) It would not be right. If money is collected for a specific charity or cause that is where it should go not whereever the person collecting the money thinks it belongs.

red cross could be operating in the red for quite sometime, now with the 9/11 crisis,it is like a windfall to them as money keeps rolling in.
so now they can use some of that money to do things they dont have money to do-things they are supposed to do like blood for the soldiers at war.
that stupid woman was on tv trying to explain it,the more she explained the more stupid it sounds.
same goes with that jerk at cantor fitgerald ,he is not paying a dime to his employees's family becasue he said he does not have the money.
bond trading firm can suffer big trading losses as it is hard to supervise your traders,so there could be some losses he is hiding.plus the firm is now being sued by dow jones for 40 million worth of service of telerate data provided to dow jones as telerate has ceased to operate .
so lots of possibilities-numbers only the accountants and bookeppers know.
may be they should just post picture and profile of each household and ask us to name which one we want our money to be given to,it may be very subjective, but at least they get the money.
