For the sake of understanding how relisting fees work (not saying I would keep trying ot see the same item 10 times), I have a question.
If I put up an item, and it doesn't sell, and I then relist it and it does sell..I get back my listing fee, right? If it doesn't sell the second time..I'm plumb out of luck.
Say I then relist it (assuming it didn't sell)..is that considered a new listing, and if it doesn't sell, and I put it up again, and then sell it..will I get my listing fees back from the third listing?

In ohter words, if an item doesn't sell after two listings, should I then recreate the listing, so it would be a "new" listing, and I would have two chances to sell it again, getting back my listing fee if it sold the second time.
I do have a couple of items that I have put up 4 times, and I don't think I'm getting relisting fees back, on the next go around.

If you put them up as batches in AW, does the scenerio change?
Thanks..that is if I haven't lost you LOL!

It works the same from AW.

If you list the item once no sale on it list it again If it sells your fee for listing the second time is refunded if no sale you pay for listing twice.

How ever there is a time limit on how long you can wait to relist the second time of 30 days if you dont relist within that time it will launch as if for the frist time.

I guess I didn't make myself clear enough dman..I know how it works on the first go around. But once I sell it (or not) and relist it a third time..does it start over? Is the third listing considered a "fresh" start, and if it doesn't sell then, but does on the 4th time, is the 3rd listing refunded?

Third time you pay like the frist time the 4th is free if it sells.

DMRick ... I have asked the same question that you've asked since ebay started the second listing is free thing. ebay is very mystic in its description of how it works on the third relist onward. I hope DMan3 is correct about the fourth listing being free.
There are so many ebayers that constantly say "If it doesn't sell the first time relisting it is free" and they forget to add the "If the item sells on the second listing". I'm certain there are MANY sellers thinking if an item doesn't sell after two attempts that they are out only 30 cents ( or whatever ) instead of the actual double figure.
I am willing to bet that the next fee increase at eBay will have something to do with the elimination of the second free listing.
