I guess eBay is just sitting on their bloody heels over this, they said on 11-12 that they would soon install an opt-out feature in the My eBay preferences, so sellers could stop this stupid thing from appearing on their auctions.

So what gives? No action, but they seem to be able to do everything else.

I'll tell you, so many of my bidders, both new & old, are terribly confused by this piece of crap!

Waiting anxiously for eBay to support their sellers for once (Yeh, I know...)

not just buyer confused,seller too.
when i relist an item which was listed prior to checkout, ebay default is checkout.or if you are not careful and list a new item without opting out of checkout, you get an email from paypal saying your preferred status with paypal receiving cash rebate with your debit card has been revoked because you are offering other online payment methods on your item page.
i am no longer using paypal debit card and i am very fed up with paypal,i think it is a losing battle for paypal .
i think eventually check out will be used for most transactions except those which require cashier check, wiretransfer .
