I am fit to be tied right now. I sold two items to the same person. I sent them a personal note combining shipping and all. I get a reply from the buyer saying that they wanted me to use the checkout. I replied promptly and stated that I don't use the checkout feature and that he was discounted shipping. I then again get another email stating how rude I was. So I bite my tongue and use the checkout feature. Email him back saying I made the exception just for him. Another reply saying that since I'm a bad seller he will be mailing my payment instead of paypal. And leaving me negative feedback. And that is exactly what he did. Well needless to say he has also gotten negative feedback. I just needed to vent cause I feel this was unjust feedback. Check out stinks!!

I was under the impression that checkout was no big deal, but after having several problems myself, I'm sick of the whole thing.

I wish they would can this checkout mess for a better idea like the pay now button.

Guy's got another neg from someone else. I'm wondering if maybe he doesn't have the cash right now and is stalling by using the fact that you don't use checkout against you.

This has me concerned. I've had problems with people filling out the WBN that are sent out, but never as many problems as I have had recently. Repeated attempts, asking nicely, nothing is getting people to fill them out, they just keep sending me the stupid request for checkout thing, and I REFUSE to use that piece of garbage thing.

I wonder how many disgruntled sellers it's going to take Ebay to wake up.

WRITE IT RIGHT IN YOUR AUCTION DESCRIPTION AND IN THE CHECKOUT INFORMATION. YOU DO NOT WANT THEM TO USE THAT FEATURE. (OF COURSE MINE IS A LITTLE MORE SUBTLE,,,,,,,,,DON'T USE THAT PIECE OF GARBAGE,,,,,,,,,WASTE OF TIME AND TYPING, WAIT FOR MY PERSONAL E.O.A. NOTICE). SOME OF THESE BUYERS ARE..........I SWEAR,,,,,,,,,,,,CHILDREN,,,,,,,,,,WITH MONEY!!!

I do have it stated that i will be sending you a personal email on how to close the auction. please use this to receive your item faster. I have filed with ebay to see if I can get these negs off of my feedback. Almost 300 positive, 1 neutral, and 3 negs, does that look bad?

I also have it stated in my auction descriptions that "I do not participate in ebays checkout.....I will send an address information request email as soon as auction ends....ect...." in bright bold big lettering PRIOR to my auction description.....BUT winners continue to IGNORE it and use it anyway.....so I also IGNORE it and send my end of auction email and wait for their reply to it before I send out an invoice or have any communication with them......When I don't get a reply....I resend it until I do......

I haven’t received any negatives because of Check Out but I am so fed up with it I can’t stand it. Last night I had a bunch of auctions close. I immediately sent each winning bidder my own personal winning bidder notification and invoice with shipping totals to each buyer. This morning I get up and have 5 “ eBay Request total for Item#XXXXXXXXX in my e-mail. I don’t check or use the checkout option yet there it is for people to use anyway…. Can’t stand it...

Health & happiness

Last night I felt tempted to leave 2 negs for andale checkout (didn't). ebaY checkout may have problems but using andale checkout is very unfriendly to your buyers (AW too).

What's unfriendly about AW checkout? It puts everything in one place and eliminates a lot of redundant back and forth emails.

Yes, check out stinks, but your bidder stinks even more.

Do not let this turkey get you down, there must be someone more normal out there somewhere.

This is what I write in my Terms of Service which I think nobody reads.

I accept Personal Checks, Money Orders or PayPal. Upon receipt of your payment your item will be mailed out the next business day. ATTENTION:I am not familiar with the automatic checkout and would like you NOT to use it at this time. I will personally contact you within 12 hours of the close of this auction. I hope this doesn't inconvenience you as I would like to be the first contact.

Thanks for Stopping By

The attention in my TOS is RED and the NOT is RED also. The rest of the writing is in tan. You can go to my auctions and read it. It can't be any plainer than that. What am I doing wrong. Frustration is settling in....

Had an auction close last week, received request for invoice through BillPoint (or whatever it's called now), sent invoice. Seller put in order for proper amount, BillPoint/eBay shorted me the entire shipping amount. Have written to them and received an answer that it will take longer than the "normal 24 to 48 hours to investigate this matter. Meanwhile they have my money. All my auctions have ended and I'm not anxious to list because this is a royal pain in the rear; don't trust this system at all.

Ebay should have thought things through before releasing that ugly mess

When they announced the concept of check out I though it would be set up to facilitate multi-item bidders. That would be cool and worth offering.

Since they don't I find it absolutely pointless.
