Best way is Exsacto knife or streght edge razor and a steady hand.

Mike,

The rotary paper cutters can sometimes cause major problems on some of the more brittle magazine ads. The best way, as dman suggests, is to use a metal straight edge and a sharp razor. Gently guide the razor along the straight edge. If the paper is brittle, you may want to make several light passes, rather than try to cut it in one pass. If you are doing this reguarly, I would also recommend a pair of Kevlar protective gloves. It just takes one careless swipe to have the knife cut your finger (I learned that the hard way... six stiches and six months later, my finger is almost back to normal!)

Hope that helps!
