I purchased a wonderful book today but it is in German.

The title is "Bartenlaube Kalender 1915".

it has gorgeous photos throughout and a monthly calendar in the front part.

I have searched Library of Congress, Abe Books, and Bibliofind. I cannot find anything on this book.

Can anyone please help with some info?, including some type of value if possible.?

The summerhome calendar of 1915 would be my best guess...

Hello
First, if it were my book, I would go to:
http://babelfish.altavista.com/ and get a translation of title and perhaps other key areas. Research is the key. Last summer I bought some Old Italian covers (1800s) I spent maybe a day total looking around on the Internet. I pieced together what I had and was pleased. I sold the covers for 6 times what I paid for them, because of research. Research doesn’t always pay big rewards but you will learn a lot because of it. If you like the book don’t be in a rush to sell. Please note there are many non-English web sites, which can be helpful. (I used one in south Italy). Babelfish will translate web sites.
Merry Christmas
Dave

Thank you for your remarks so far. I went to the bablefish web site but didn't get as much help as I need here.

The book is really something else. In the front and back of the book are pages of advertisements from 1914-1915. then there are chapters on what seems to be everyday life, military, industrial, and on and on. the graphics and pictures are just great.

I think maybe I will have to find someone locally that can read german to tell me exactly what i do have here.

but please keep the help coming, I can use all the suggestions I can get.
