Someone Please Help me.

I am having a big problem with eBay. I opened my account about two years ago and I did not use it. About one week ago I decided to sell some products on eBay. So I verified my account, listed up some auctions and also made some purchases to establish a trading history. Then all of a sudden my account is suspended. eBay claims that I was associating with a user that had been suspended or that I might have had an account that was suspended. I wrote them several e-mails explaining that I did not have associations with any users and that the charge was ridiculous. eBay sent back numerous responses saying that my cases was reviewed and the decision had been reached to keep me suspended permanently. I asked for an appeal and they refused. They basically said my e-mails would be ignored.

At this point I am very frustrated because I never had any associations with others on eBay nor did I have any other users.

Why would my account remain open for two years and then the moment I tried to sell items, even after verifying my account, eBay just decide to shut down my account for a false reason. I have no idea what is going on here. eBay's charges are so absurd that it might as well be racism because my user name is "blktiger" as in Black Tiger.

I even offered to send them a signed and notarized affidavit that I never had any other accounts and also that I never associated in person, by e-mail or in any manner whatsoever with anyone that used eBay.

PLEASE HELP I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND UPSET.

a notary public would not know what is going on with other accounts on ebay etc.
may be you can hire a lawyer to contact them, racism is not an issue here-tigers come in all stripes-yellow and black are most common

You claim to be permanently suspended, but when I went to look at your ebay ID, it does not indicate that your account is suspended. If you're suspended, it should say "not a registered user" next to your feedback.

It is right next my user name "Not a Registered User."

Besides hiring a lawyer is there anything else that I can do?

I just checked your feedback and nowhere do I see anything that says, Not a Registered User. I think you are still registered.Good Luck Sue

I'm still not seeing the "Not a Registered User," and apparently that makes two of us. Take a look at your own ebay ID again and then refresh your web browser - maybe ebay reinstated your account, and you just don't see it yet. Don't rush out and hire a lawyer until you give the refresh a try.

It looks to me like that account has been active for a couple of years. It has 269 feedbacks. Did I miss something?

You will see that blktiger is not NARUed and is active. Is that you?

Never mind..I thought I caught what was wrong..but he was the buyer of something that shouldn't be sold on eBay..not the seller..so that wouldn't be why eBay suspended him(copyrighted item).

Nothing gets eBay's attention like a letter on law practice letterhead faxed to them.

I am still banished and eBay sends the same response over and over again . . .

HELP please!!!

Thank you for writing eBay.

I understand you feel we have been unfair in upholding this suspension,
and we take your complaint very seriously. I have reviewed your
situation again, and it has been decided that this account will remain
closed.

The account which was previously suspended was registered in your name.
You are responsible for this account; therefore, this is considered an
indefinite suspension unless further evidence is presented in your
behalf.

Thank you for your time.

petpost is right, at this point you really need to get an attorney involved. At the very least you need to have ebay identify the user account and associated information so you can prove that you're not the same person. If it turns out the other account is in your name, then you may be dealing with a case of identity theft, in which case you'll want to notify your credit card companies and get law enforcement involved (probably the FBI, since the other person is probably committing interstate fraud).

Why not try asking them for the name, address and id of the account that was suspended. And why it was suspended.

If they claim it is you, they should have no problem giving you your information.

Without this information you will be unable to figure out what the nitwits at ebay have as their reason. Considering the clueless nature of ebay customer service people and the deviousness of some sellers, these sort of mistakes happen quite often.

Ebay is like a military tribunal, the normal rules do not apply. It's not very fair and offers little recourse. You might also file a complaint with the BBB.
