Ms. *****:

I have chosen to discontinue contacting bidders on your auctions today
in the hopes that you have learned to be more conscious of treating
bidders on your items better in the future. I believe that trading on
Ebay is a marvelous opportunity to meet extremely good people and share
person commerce with them. Most honest members of the Ebay Community do
take the words of fellow members when reporting some difficulty with a
transaction. I suggest that you do likewise in the future. I also
suggest that you conduct all of your own business without intervention
by your son; he does not have the temperament that will help ease a
situation. I suspect that he is simply overly zealous son who is quick
to defend his mother, as I might also be.

I sincerely hope that this situation has a positive impact on how you
treat people in the future. You should have been able to determine that
I was a very good person from all of my feedback. You don't trade on
Ebay for over 6 years without a single negative feedback message if you
are a bad person. Additionally, if I were a bad person, I would have
simply sent negative feedback on the transaction. I certainly would not
have "wasted my time" helping other members of the Ebay community be
forewarned of a possible bad situation of their own now would I?

99.????% of people who trade on Ebay are extremely honest persons who
may make mistakes from time-to-time; but, will always attempt to deal in
a fair manner. I attempted to do so with you but immediately
encountered statements from you that implied that I was not telling the
truth regarding what happened relative to the shipment of the epergne.
I suspect that you are diligent in packing most of your items before
shipping them. This and the situation with Jess82 in August were 2
times when you were not diligent in preparing an item for shipment.
Insuring items does not release you from your responsibility regarding
proper packing of items for shipment. You should not just properly pack
"most" of the items you ship. You should properly pack "all" of the
items you ship.

I suspect that you will continue to feel the impact of this situation as
more people cautiously correspond with you at the conclusion of your
auctions. I have been contacted by most of the bidders on your items
following their receipt of the e-mail messages from me. I am enclosing
some of the messages that I have received for you to read. As you can
see, many people encouraged me to take even more drastic action against
you. Poor behavior tends to enrage people in situations where they may
also be at jeopardy. In closing this correspondence, I state once again
that I sincerely hope that the lessons learned here do have a positive
impact in how you treat future customers from the Ebay community. That
your first reaction to any situation that may emerge in the future will
be that the Ebayer contacting you is telling the truth; this is true
99.???% of the time. You should not punish the 99.???% of the Ebay
community for the deliberately untruthful statements and unfair actions
of the .???% of reprobates who are typically only permitted to trade on
Ebay a short period of time.

The following is the correspondence that I received from persons
notified by me.

Thank you so very much for your concerning email about this seller. I am
terribly sorry about your miss-hap. I really appreciate your concern
for me as a buyer of this seller, if only all ebayers were like you.

Thank you for your concerns. I have had a similar situation from a
different ebay seller. I am sorry to hear of your problems with this
seller, and again, thank you for informing me of possible problems.

Thank you very much for notifying me of this situation. I am sorry this
situation had to transpire, hopefully something can be worked out. I
read the feedbacks, forewarned is forearmed, take care.

Thanks for the info. I will remember that for future reference.

Thank you for your message. Although some transactions are better than
others, I've never had a true "problem" auction that could not be
rectified with a little communication. I plan on taking your message to
heart, though, and will avoid this seller for future auctions. Yet a bid
is a bid and I will honor my part if I happen to win.

Thank you very much for telling me about your trouble with this seller.
Thanks for your warning, and I have been outbid on that item, and will
not bid higher.

Thanks for the info..I'll pass on this seller.

Thanks Loads and I will put her on the never bid again list.

Thank you so very much for you input. I really appreciate it. I will
email and probably cancel - bad attitudes do not agree with me.

Thank you for your email. I have also suffered several damaged
expensive goods from idiots on ebay. I am on the defense w/ auntJemima1
and will see how the email transaction goes. Thank you for the heads
up!

Thanks for your info, Poor ebayers should be banned from selling.

Thanks for the info, it will come in handy when I get my item from
auntjemimal.

Thank you very much for the info. If I have a chance to do something
about this, I will.

Definitely file a complaint! I was outbid by .50 on the item for which I
was bidding, and chose not to bid on a second item that I was watching
from this seller. So I wouldn't even have to deal with this seller. Good
luck with whatever you can do. File a complaint with www.bbb.com, she
never made the deal correct.

I am very sorry to hear that, if you have saved these e-mail's between
you two, I would file a complaint with e-bay and attach the seller's
rude reply. It's too bad, I have had my share of transactions gone bad.
You may also contact www.BBB.com , the better business bureau to file a
complaint.......good luck! What a shame, it was a very pretty piece.

If you kept a copy of the e-mail and forwarded it to e-bay this would be
a plus. and auntjemimal would seriously reconsider negatives. Remember
e-bay is a broker so to speak. i.e. I have something to sell, you buy
it. as a broker they have to monitor the activities of their
consignees. When a person defrauds or defaults they have the obligatory
response to negate further action from seller, or buyer to protect
themselves. They are basically a third party, and can be held
accountable for sale or transaction. Based on representation for sale.
Contact e-bay and hold bad users accountable, through their policy.
E-bay represents honest wholesome beliefs in free trade. Though there
are a few jerks, these jerks should not be indemnified by gratis or by
sole number of sales, period! There are enough of us that like their
service to eliminate those who choose to corrupt it.

Good luck, and here's a tip - My husband had a problem w/ some jerk
similar to these people and he contacted the jerk's internet provider,
because once they respond back to you, they are doing so from their
provider, and are not under the vague umbrella of ebay. Luckily in my
husband's case the jerk's internet provider was very vigilant in
dropping harassing customers. Action was taken, and the harassment
stopped. Also most states have internet fraud police and harassment
forces. Maybe auntjemima1's internet provider would like to hear and
see some of the things you've received from their hosting services, esp
most have anti harassment rules.

Sincerely,

*******

this needs to be forwarded to ebays safe harbour. no one has the right to email your bidders.

I once bid on an item and knew very well what I had bid on. a person emailed me to tell me the item was misrepresented and he also emailed the seller to inform them.

I forwarded his email to safe harbour and also emailed him to "mind his own business and never email me again"

ebay warned him that any further auction interference from him would be cause for suspension.

he sent me an apology email after he received this, telling me what ebay had said to him.

If you continue about the same subject you can just find the original thread and post the latest developments as it makes the situation easier for people to follow. So here is the original.

http://auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&thread=444015

This letter proves that he has interfered in your auctions, perhaps affecting current bids. So forward it along with the headers to safe harbor.

He still isn't taking fault for throwing out the box--sorry to hear he is unable to understand how claims work. Good luck.

Regardless of intent, the actions of this user are, without doubt, auction interference.

Having a grudge with a seller regarding a personal transaction does not give them the right to interfere with ongoing auctions that are not of their concern.

I would definately turn in this self rightious individual.

Thanx everyone, I was working myself up again after this latest email, did forward this to safe harbor with my assigned number (so hopefully only one person is handling this at ebay) I have not heard from them since.
Thank you Kiara for the link, was not sure how to link to my other post, and didn't want anyone to miss this!
Stopwhining, I was so hoping you would see this! You make me laugh!
I emailed all of my winning bidders with a link to my original post to explain my side of the story, I have received many emails laughing at the humor you all generate even from the worst of situations, all the responses this doctor supposedly got and copied for me in that email, well so far all the emails I have received none of them took him seriously, one even said he hopes to receive his item soon so he can leave feedback on how terrific my packing was! I am going to try to move on, hopefully he will not email me again.

His email clearly incriminates himself of committing auction interference many times over. He could have made his point after three to five examples, but to post 15 of them is a bit excessive - makes me think he's getting some sort of psychological thrill out of it all.

I really got annoyed by that sanctimonious attitude when describing "good" and "bad" people. If I understand him correctly, a "bad" person leaves a negative feedback when unhappy with a transaction as a warning to other ebay users - which, strangely enough, is exactly the purpose of negative feedback. But a "good" person goes on a campaign of auction interference instead of leaving a negative feedback? What a bizarre notion.

Here is a message I just received from one of my wonderful buyers. He pretty much summed everything up!

Hello, I recieved email but blew it off. When buying thru mail you take your chances on things getting brokin. Thats why I have a rule that anything I buy over 20.00 I ask for insurance [only $1.10 for first $100.00]. Leaving a negative feedback was sufficient [I'm smart enough to make up my own mind] and I don't like the fact that this guy is cluttering up peoples pc's with unwanted emails. [You may turn this message into ebay if you want] I suggest this guy quites buying stuff that has to be delivered thru mail.

Wasn't going to post, but just had to.....

I would give two weeks wages to be there when the good Doctor gets his Auction Interference Notice from eBay.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, even eBay can see this one. For a self proclaimed educated person, he's about as dumb as 2 Toads in a Lilly Pond.

Wonder if he's going to start an email run on all of the eBay customers or blame you for his new troubles.

I bet when he was a kid, he took a car for a joy ride and flagged down a State Trooper to tell him. sheeesh!!!!!!

You should be feeling pretty good right now!!!

Those "emails" look suspicious...sound almost like those fake testimonials for some new product on TV or in a magazine. The wording and the way each writer answered sounded an awful lot like "doc"...no mispelled words..grammar was perfect..many starting with "Thank you"...just too perfect. If I ever received such an email, I would be a bit miffed with the sender..probably report him. This guy gets letters..ALL thanking him for being such a good ebayer!!??? NOT!! Something smells....what kind of "doctor" has the time to spend hours on the computer buying things on ebay? Methinks the good "doctor" is a lonely QUACK...with delusions of grandeur..or a frustrated writer...

Agree with Holdenrex about the sanctimonious bit, only to add that the doctor needs a good ass whupping.

This is also called 'Restraint of Trade', which eBay or not, I believe is a civil crime. A call to the 'docs' state attorney generals office could be most illuminating!

Thanks-

19990616 != 6 years

I agree, it's kind of creepy, but I hope harmless.
