Stop the world. I want to get off. I'm still trying to make my way back to the Waterford thread; the Vero thread; the How-do-I-use-my-Kodak thread, etc. and now I have new problems! So I buy a Xmas gift for my kid on eBay, and admittedly cut it close. Seller says she shipped it 12/21. Not making it in time for Christmas considering anthrax and all that I understand, but she isn't knocking herself out to be gracious or anything in email-ville. I spent nearly 90 bucks. I wrote her today and said basically that hey, I've been a good sport but it is time to refund my money or send me another. Nothing yet. Nothing in days. I'm usually a seller so have never had this happen as a seller or a buyer. Now what? Dang!

Hang in there!
I did the same thing, the seller was ready to send me another and low & behold it came today. Don't know why it's taking so long but it is!

I guess it's time to find the refund thread...You must know by now that not all ebay sellers are honest and sincere. There are a few of us around like you,I and the rest in this AW board. First find out if she/he really mailed it. That was on a Friday before the holidays. Now, who in their right mind would ship on that day. I wouldn't. If it doesn't make it by Christmas I would steer clear of the USPS until after Christmas. The lines are to long, things could get lost. So find out if she/he really sent it then proceed from there. Was it insured? If you paid $90.00 for it and insured it there is a tracker number on the insurance slip from the post office. Do they have that? Lots of things can happen and I hope you insured it so then you probably can find out where it is going. Probably trying to find a home. Good Luck

I won an item on ebay during December, it was sent first class and took 14 days to arrive (Dec 12 -Dec 26).

So, when a customer said her item didn't arrive (via media mail), I told her it'll take about 21 days. On the 20th day, Jan 5th it arrived.

You just need to be patient, mail is slow.

Nice seller. Intends to refund. I feel bad for both of us.

Received my item today! Post-marked 12/19/01 Priority from Wisconsin and received today, 1/16/02 to my PO Box. I'm sure the seller is thrilled also!

Ah, that must have been a relief! I recently received a late priority mail package, too -- mailed on 12/31 and received on 1/11. Not as bad as yours, but not good! (And they're raising rates again... too bad they won't raise the level of service reliability too.)

Glad you got it! I received a package 1/15 that had been mailed Priority/Insured/with DC on 12/27.

I was getting worried, but the seller asked me to wait a few days longer to see what would happen.

Of course, not only was it slow in getting here, but it should have required my signature as having been delivered and my local carrier just dropped it in my mailbox. Looks like they forgot to scan for DC also. It's still showing on the USPS website as "in transit"....

In their defense, normally I receive Priority packages within 3 days of their being mailed.

Alls well that ends well....

haven't I read in some of these threads that USPS will refund shipping if priority is that late?
