OK. Got my phone bill. Had to drag some glass out:

The first item, which I knew was the one with the label, was an easy find--on the bottom.

Does Waterford sign in sneaky unpredictable places. Do I need to scry every 1/2" with a magnifier 5X to find marks? Do they sign in different sizes?

And, to keep this easy. When is it glass? When is it crystal? Can it "ring" and still be glass?

These other pieces from the same lot (yup, the trash folks! ) have similar but not identical designs. I know from experince that if you KNOW what-the-heck-you got it will go for the bigger bucks vs. your getting robbed. (Listen to me--I found these in the trash! But then, it *IS* rough work when you can get it.)

Like I have this butter bowl. It looks like the most elegant piece of crystal I've ever seen, but it's not *heavy*. Is heavy better? Or when is heavy better. When is it not? (Sheesh--I feel like Dr. Seuss now.)

Are cut and pressed obvious?

Hats off to anybody who knows their glass!

Now I gotta find that Kodak thread...
