Anyone ever have this problem? Is it just AOL? Winning bidder bid 3 times on final day (today) of auction and when I tried to send winning bidder e-mail the server rejected it. Did this 4 times. Since it is a $10.00 item, I am not about make a telephone call. Anyone have any other suggestions.

The bidder probably has your ISP blocked in their email preferences. Try to contact them from a Yahoo or Hotmail account if you have one. Otherwise, contact them through Ebay's "Send this auction to a friend" feature.

Since I do not have Yahoo or Hotmail, I will have to go the Send Auction to friend route but please tell me where I locate it. Looked at listing and I cannot find it nor on e-Bay site map. Also why would AOL block my server? It is a well known and frequently used one.

If your sending mail thru the AW server try just sending it directly from your email program - Put something personalized in the subject header. I have better response doing that sometimes. Send a reminder notice via ebay - They have to get ebays mail or they get NARU ed.

Resorted to using e-Bay contact information form since nothing else works. If e-bay gets their message bounced back as all mine have with an invalid recipient do they really NARU? I guess I can wait a couple days and put a message in the buyers feedback as a last resort or would that be unkind. Keep thinking it could be AOLs fault.

AOL users have a wide variety of options when setting email preferences. Your buyer may have everything blocked except other AOL email. Or he may have it set up to receive from certain email addresses only. This is a common problem when someone has set their preferences long ago and forgot about it. You can download AOL instant messenger software and contact any AOL user whenever they come online, bypassing email altogether. Most likely though, he has changed his email address and forgotton to notify Ebay. And yes, he will become NARU if ebay's email to him bounces back after three or four attempts.
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Some browsers don't accept signatures in email, and AOL is one of those. I used to have signatures in email sent to AOL addresses and the AOL users claim they never received my emails. So I turned the sig off and no problem since.

Buyer contacted me. It seems that her e-mail address is in caps ( except for aol) and e-bay has it listed in small letters. Apparently that is the reason it bounced with invalid recepient Very picky server or else e-Bay did not pay attention to the caps.

I believe, as has been suggested, it is a matter of setting mail controls. I have mine set to receive all emails (except for a list of unwanted senders by address), and to receive pictures and downloads. To my knowledge, I have never not received an email. That is to say that I have never received one through ebay or to my other aol or yahoo addresses saying they couldn't get through.
