What should I do here? Bidder didn't read the ad carefully enough to see that the freq. flyer coupon was 1-way, not round trip. Should I ask him to pay my listing cost, list negative comments on his account?

file a non paying bidder NPB and an final value fee FVF.
the fvf wil get your money back from ebay for your auction cost and this is the only thing that wil cause ebay to go after a bidder. I think 3 NPB's and they get banned.
Negatives only help other ebays jusdge a persons reputation.

Assuming this was an honest mistake, I'd just file a NPB and use the reason that the parties mutually agreed to cancel the sale. No sense getting all in a snit for a mistake - you may save a customer for later.

You do not want a customer like this. File for your fee and BLACKLIST them for the future. I've seem things I've bid on and I go "What was I thinking?" I still pay up and use it as a learning experience.

Just file a NPB with both parties mutually agreed to cancel the sale as the reason. This way you can then file your fvf refund right away. It would make things easier for you. If you put any other reason it will count against the buyer, too many of those and ebay will suspend them. However you will have to wait a week before you file your fvf, that's too much of a hassle. ( maybe not for one item but if have very many of these it's a royal pain in the butt just get even with someone )
