I know what it is, but I need some help.
It is a 4x6 wool rug that has two tags. One states:
An Original Tai Ping
Hand Made Rug
100% Virgin Wool Pile
Made in Hong Kong
British Crown Colony
by Free Chinese Workers
The second tag states the size, the pattern, colour, dye lot, serial number and Made in Hong Kong.
Searches on eBay and Google are not turning up anything yet. I'm going to continue to look but would appreciate any information you may have. I am particularly wanting to find out the age.

Thanks for the site and I checked it out. Most of the Tai Ping sites that I pull up are for current carpets. I wish I could find a vintage rug site. I'll keep looking.
