hi,
buyer won auction on the 20th of feb.
she paid today 26th.
she requested on the 21st that I ship it 4-7 days mail because she is in Holland and needs
the shoes on the 9th of march.
in best the shoes will arrive the 7th or 8th
of march.

she has 0 feedback and never made a transaction before (wasnt even sign up for paypal yet, first requested the shoes to be shipped without payment )

what would be a polite way to let her know
that the possible delay in arrival (on the 8th) is not my fault, since she took
6 days to pay?
normaly I dont mind waiting 15 days
for payment, but on the 21st
she already knew that she needs them quickly
and yet she waited extra 5 days to pay.

I dont want to scare her or make her feel bad, but I also dont want to end up with bad feedback because of her "sort of mistake".
(because she has 0 fdbck I fear that she will
just blame me for the slow shipping)

any (polite)ideas?
the reason why I'm asking is
I'm from europe my self, and
her english is worst then mine,
and I know that my text that I had in mind will come out sounding rude
so all of you english grads, please help

Laiochka,

I'm no english grad.... but I am a math grad! From your numbers... it looks like you could be prematurely worrying. If you ship the item tomorrow (feb 27th) via 4-7 days mail.... the item would show up on March 2nd at the earliest, and March 5th at the latest (assuming that it truly is delivered within the 4-7 day period). You actually have 11 days before the 9th! Personally... I would ship the item out tomorrow, and not worry about it unless I started getting e-mails from the bidder saying "where is it?". If I got one of those e-mails, I would then just factually explain when the payment was received, when the item was shipped and via which method. Hope that helps!

Just stick to the facts, can not go too wrong with what you stated above.

Tell her due to time constraints, the mail will not be able to deliver till march 8.

This way she will not feel like a dummy for waiting so long and it lets you off the hook.

Good luck.

Just email her

"Your payment arrived today and the shoes will ship out tomorrow morning. I will tell the post office to please rush them. Let me know as soon as they arrive and thank you again for your bid."

This puts the whole thing back in her hands and explains when you shipped the item. If you tell her too much about the possible delay it puts it on your shoulders(in her mind).

Well since February only has 28 days
And int'l handling takes longer I do estimate that she will receive it on the 7th.
(I believe that the PO will take the full 7 days and they will only ship out on the 28th - with the day extra for int'l )
So that only leaves me 8 days
(and she needs to wear them on the 9th,
It's her wedding day / her wedding shoes )

I combined little bit of text from all
Of your suggestions, hopefully she
Will understand what I mean.
Thank you very much guys!

Best regards
Laiki

Did she pay with Paypal? If she did the delay is NOT her fault. Registration for international buyers/sellers is much more complicated and their verification process includes a code inserted into a credit card bill. Since most people in Europe cannot access their bills online, they have to wait until they get the actual statements to get the code to go to Paypal and get verified - sheesh! So she's lucky it was only that long, could have been almost one month if her billing cycle had just started.

I would warn her and explain the problem since she might not be aware of it.
