I was wondering if it is agains eBay's rules to have your website address in a picture for you listings. It wouldn't be in the actual picture of the item but rather in a picture that would be at the top of all my auctions. For instance on top of my star wars auctions I will have a graphic in the Star Wars font and right below it I will have "by www.vettingstoys.com" Don't forget that the address will be part of the image so it won't be typed out. So will I get my auctions closed down for this?
Thanks, Mike

I think ebay would consider it a static link which is a no-no.
This is from their Link FAQ page:
How does eBay define a link?
A link is any mechanism used to take you off the eBay site, whether static or clickable. This applies to any format used for a link that includes, but is not limited to, text, images, logos or icons.
If your ebay user ID was vettingstoys.com I think you could put that on the pics with no problems.

I put external links all the time. But I use the TARGET= clause in the link tag, so it opens a new browser window.
There is no way they can say this violates their policy because it does NOT take the person away from ebay. It leaves them there and simply opens a new window.

I had my web addr on all my auction pictures and had to remove/edit it out of each one. Someone will eventually call you on the carpet about it so why not just avoid the hassel. Luck to ya
