Not sure if this is what you want but there are auction count charts here.

I have heard some people claim that Sunday night is a biggie. However, I kept a sales spreadsheet for 2001, broken down by day of the week, and Sunday was dead last on the list.

Also, overall peak traffic times may not be peak traffic times for what YOU sell. We get a lot of people bidding from work, so 9-5 and M-F are better for us than evenings and weekends.

I don't know about the rest of you, but when I have auctions ending on Sunday night, I practically loose money! I've been avoiding Sundays at all costs.

IMNSHO, it is not the "most traffic" that is important. Only webbie wonks think this is the valid measurement of success.

What counts is when the most actual bidders and buyers are visiting ebay. My experience of late is that this is other than Sunday nights when the most viewers are looking.

After it was widely posted that Sunday nights were the best nights to end auctions, the number of auctions closing then increased to the point where it is now a glut.

Let's say for example that 100 folks are browsing through 100 auctions, then you stand a good chance of being noticed.

If the same 100 folks are faced with 1000 auctions, your chances have diminished. Even if the 100 viewers double to 200, your odds haven't increased that much if the number of auctions is very large.

I think looking for numbers is smart, but finding the right combination for each individual seller that is critical. Some no doubt do best on Sunday, but not all.

I generally find that Monday and Tuesday evenings work pretty well but it almost always depends on your audience. With BIN, auctions can close at anytime.

Yesterday there was a news article about eBay bowing out ( no pun intended ) of the Japan market because there were only 25,000 eBay Japan auctions running to Yahoo's 3.5 million auctions running in their Yahoo Japan sector. In the article eBay said they have 42 million users total. I think the number of listed items is much too large for the number of active buyers. That pie is now sliced into microscopic pieces.
