Do your use SEARCH or do you browse a CATEGORY?
When looking for an item on eBay do you go to the Search page or do spend time going through a category that relates to the item?
I'd really like to get some feedback to satisfy my own (and perhaps others) curiosity. Thanks!

I always use the search button because I usually go to ebay and already know what I'm looking for.

I'll usually save my browsing for online e-tailers or a B&M. Then I might go to ebay and see what the prices are and if it's available.

I start by browsing the categoy - just to get a feel for what's up.

If I'm looking for something specific, I'll keep the search limited to the subcategory that I'm browsing.

So, yeah, I use both.

I search by keywords first. If I get too many results, then I use the sidebar on the search page that tells you how many hits were in each category in order to bring up the hits just in that specific category. I know some people complained when ebay changed the layout, but I've found it to be quite handy. Especially since there's so much listed on ebay these days, it really helps to narrow down the search.

If I am looking for something specific I will do a SEARCH; if I'm looking for anything in general I will browse. I have found great deals just by browsing.

I use search first and then if I have time I will browse the category.
