I have a friend who wants me to sell dishes for her. I don't know what type they are, but I'm assuming they're old/relatively valuable. They may be China. Anyway, she has talked to collectors who told her to have me list them one at a time. She does not have a full set. She's bringing them over this morning, so I was hoping I could get some opinions that I could show her. Should I do them in groups or one at a time like the collectors suggest? I believe this topic has been addressed before, but I couldn't find it. Thanks for your opinions.

Going with your assumption that they are old/valuable, I'd sell individually. At the very least sell the unique pieces individually like the creamers, butter dishes, large platters, etc. The more common place setting items like plates and bowls can be sold in small lots, unless of course you find that each of these are bringing a good price individually.
And if you can, determine the manufacturer and pattern - you'll need these keywords in the auction title if you want to attract the people looking for that specific pattern. Good luck!
