Whatever happened to the contest that feeBay was running? I remember something last year about the 1 billionth auction listed would win a whole bunch of crap.

Have they hit it yet, and if so, who won it?

I couldn't find anything on Google about the contest and didn't even know about it. I tried the search in google groups and got one result .....

Looks like the first prize for listing an auction on the exact second as the
500,000,000th auction is about $50.

Ebay esitimates that 1000 people will list an auction in that second, or
guess the correct second. So $50,000 divided by 1000 winners = $50.

Woohoo...

hmm, I think they NARU'd that person or persons. Somewhere in the fine print of an announcement made in a banner ad on third click they mentioned that they would NARU said winner, and NARU is grounds for disqualification for the prize. go figure.
... just kidding of course.
