I got a nice little letter from ebay, asking me oh dso politely to stop using a live link to my AW storefront in my auction descrptions. I can use my about me page to advertise my home page, it sez. So, okay I went through my AW preferences and removed the live link copy. HOwever, I just now went to create a listing and when I looked at the preview, the automatic "Visit my Auctionwatch Storefront" logo is right there, under "additional Information". Hmm... How do I remove it? Do I have to remove it?
What are you all doing about this situation? I've added a link to my about-me page and I am going to revamp it to make it a shameless shill for my storefront.

Helpful hint: If you want >anyone< from AW to respond to this, you would be better off posting it in the correct forum.

That would be: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/list.html?num=15

Okay, thanks- this part of it, though, is addressed to this forum, I think.

How pleased are people, generally, with the AW storefronts? Do they blend in well with the ebay experience? Who here prefers the ebay stores, and why?

Hello dragonmom,

Per eBay rules, you are allowed to have one link to your AuctionWatch Storefront - the banner that we insert into your auctions is formatted to follow their rules.

You are not allowed to place a link to a website with fixed-price items that are not eBay auction listings within your auctions, and it appears that this sentence in your auctions violates eBay's rules and regulations:

"Visit the WANDWORKS (links to http://shop.auctionwatch.com/dragonmom) to see my other fine creations, and THE GALLERY (links to http://www.eboard.com/eboard/servlet/BoardServlet?ACTION=BOARD_SHOW&SITE_NAME=Destination&BOARD_NAME=DragonmotherWandWorks) to view some of my previous custom work!"

This violates eBay's rules because it adds a second link to our Storefront, and also a link to your own Gallery. If you want to avoid having your auctions ended by eBay, we would recommend removing that sentence and the links from your auctions.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Diana

Thanks Diana, I knew that. I removed that copy from my default text, (as I mentioned in my first post. ) And I followed the link that kahml provided and recieved a very concise reply, explaining the "two click" rule, and how AW implements that.
