Is it eBay legal to have a link to sign up for an email newsletter on your About Me page?

Thanks in advance!

If the purpose is to take bidders away from your eBay auctions, you are on very shaky ground. eBay frowns on any sort of promotion even for your auctions if they are not directly on the eBay website. I would leave such a link in your EOAs, but not any where on the site that some competitor would cry foul to the eBay police.

This is all I can find on the subject.

The eBay About Me page may be used to describe the seller's business, and may contain URLs or links to the seller's individual web site. It may not specifically promote off eBay sales or sales of items prohibited on eBay, nor may it contain links to commercial web sites where goods from multiple sellers are aggregated by a common search engine.

I doesn't sound like a link to join an email newsletter is in violation under these terms.

I am going to go ahead and email support for clarification. I thought someone here might share some first hand knowledge.
