I found this to be very interesting. A user with nearly 30,000 feedback has several hundred auctions currently listed. They are all for the basic same thing but they are each for a length of 1 month with a buy now price and it is also a dutch auction. Anyone know how this is done? They are using auction works as their submital tool.

Also, it seems this person has listed the same thing over and over in about every category. These categories are completely irrevelant to what is being sold. Now, it was my understanding that this violates Ebay's policy??

Any light on this subject is welcome.

I am not intending to create trouble for this person as they obviously are making some good dough on ebay. I merely would like to emulate this if I would be in the scope of ebays policies.

Thanks!

There are also a few 30 dayTEST auctions sometimes being run by eBay staffers. I've seen a few of them.

eBay stores have a 30,60,90 day option. But it really doesn't make any difference how long the store listing is for when you have no traffic.

Here's a thought.

What if you listed your items in a category that allows 30 day listings ... then revise your auction to the correct category AFTER it is launched? Would that work?
