I would like to recommend to all that maybe the About Me page should be used for pertant information just in case your computer goes to the repair shop.

I have in mine my guarantee, If and when I go on vacation and an alternate email address. Maybe in the function that AW has at the end of the auction page, an inseration can be made."If unable to reach me please check my about me page." It would save alot of trouble. (I think)

I have been thinking about putting my Yahoo email address in there so that if something happens either with my ISP or computer I can go to my local library and axcesses it there.

Great function that Yahoo and MSN have is the computer to computer voice chat. Use it alot and find it very convienient as I don't have a dedicated computer line.

Jackswebb:

You can put a counter on your About Me page no problem... I use Ruby Lane's counter for mine. As I pay for Ruby Lane, all my counters are completely invisible to people.

Regards,

Marc

About me pages are a waist of time. We use it for a question and answer page and have prominent links in all of our auctions.

We get an average of 4-8 hits per day.

Most people don't even read your auction page let alone visit your about me page.

Hi,

If you want a free visible web counter, try going to www.digits.com. I used it and surprisingly, people actually do look at your about me page.

Hope this helps

About Me pages are not at all a waste of time. It's a page that can provide a great benefit to your eBay business. I got a little creative and have a custom search feature on all our auctions by product line and also included a FAQ section. Take a peek:
