We badly need at least 200 eBay sellers to answer our "consumer on-line payment method selection" questionaire. The survey takes 5 minutes to complete. It's at:

http://itm_phd.mgt.gatech.edu/survey/survey.asp

I'm the PhD student, who is performing the research and I need your help badly. I want to do the research and get my degree. Two professors are helping me. We're going to do a very good job.

"Consumer on-line payment method selection" is a very important topic today. We'll post the research results here and send them to you via an e-mail, if you wish.

Thank you very, very much!!!

We have about 43 names. We need 157 more sellers to fill out the survey, before our research will be effective. This research should help the on-line consumer industry. If you can spare 5 minutes to fill out the survey, that would be so helpful!!

I think if you make your link a clickable one, you'll get more sellers willing to help you.

Hey, everybody. Take the survey! It really only takes two minutes. Grad students need all the help they can get.

A scam for what? They didn't ask for a password, they didn't even require my e-mail address, they didn't ask for money. Except for maybe harvesting an e-mail address, I'm not sure what kind of scam you would be afraid of.

I doubt this is a scam. The fact that
it came from a Georgia Tech University domain name supports the research claim, and it only asks for your e-mail address IF you want the results of the survey mailed to you.

The whole process is very painless.

I happily completed the survey, though I think you could have improved it by flying it past this bunch of sellers first.

You forgot to include personal checks. This is a major payment method.

If you were looking for barriers to the public using their credit card on ebay, you may not have been asking the right questions.

Nevertheless, it will be helpful information when it is compiled and I for one look forward to dissecting it. I did leave my email address.

Some time ago another business student did a survey on the effect of a reserve on the final price/yield of an auction. They posted a synopsis and offered the full report for a modest fee. It was well worth it, though it would have been more helpful if it was based on items that usually have reserves, rather than Pokeman cards.

Thanks to auctionwatch.com!!! We only need 38 more responses to meet our goal of 200. We will post a server location, where you can access the survey's results and will send the results to you by e-mail(if you wish).
