I've never used BidPay.com, but I believe (from reading postings here) that anyone can use it as long as they have a credit card. The buyer simply purchases a money order online (THEY pay the fees, you don't), and you just wait for a money order in the mail. I've heard of VERY few problems with this, and it probably would be less expensive than an international money order from an overseas bank.

Good luck with your international sales! You could probably get a number of "real life" stories from other sellers if you start a thread asking for opinions on BidPay.

Without eBay, I might have a real life...

I accept international money orders, BidPay, PayPal, or good old cash. My international buyers (just started a couple of months ago with this international stuff) are very good and seem to prefer BidPay these days. I was very reluctant to ship out of the country but now am feeling better about it. The USPS international calculator site is extremely helpful.

There are also postal money orders. I've received Canadian, Japanese, and International postal MOs. As long as they are made out in US dollars, you can cash them for free at your local post office.

Some people outside of the US have US dollar checking accounts. It might say 'Bank of Montreal' on top of the check, but in small print elsewhere on the check it might say something like 'Payable through Chase-Manhattan Bank, New York'. As long as there is a US bank name on it somewhere, you can cash it like a regular check.

I've received a dozen or so payments thru Bidpay with no problem.
