The reason you can't find it is because there is no fee. It is charged same as a US transaction.

Actually there is an international fee. If the transaction crosses a border (other than US - Canada) the seller has an additional 1% fee.

Thanks for telling me, was very surprised to see that. Shot off a letter to PP to ask when they started charging extra.

Thanks for the replies...but I gotta be brain dead. Here is my transaction this morning to Canada via Pay Pay:
Gross Amount: $7.81
Fee Amount: -$.060
Net Amount: $7.21
I'm thinking:
($7.81) x 2.9% +.030 = $7.28
So how come they took $7.21..
Best, Sue (dave61's other, nitpickey half)

...sorry, meant to say:
How come they gave me $7.21 instead of $7.28.....
And where does that 1% figure into this?
Thanks all!!!!!! Sue

Pretty recently, they added the extra 1% charge last month. It is really annoying. I hope it does not go up, I can see it easily increasing from 1%.
If it does go any higher, I will consider not accepting paypal from international buyers. I have a merchant account, and can process credit cards without that extra 1% taken out.

If your canadian bidder has a usa bank account then there is no extra fee, then its the same as domestic.

7.81 x 3.9% = .30
.30 + .30 = .60
7.81 - .60 = 7.21
I used 3.9% instead of your 2.9%
If you are a US seller and the buyer was Canadian this would be correct. Payments from a Canada buyer to a US seller have an extra 1%. Payments from a US buyer to a Canada seller don't have the extra 1%.
If a transaction crosses any border (other than from a US buyer to a Canadian seller) there is an extra 1% to the seller.

I DO appreciate you all taking the time to post the replies. I love this board!
