The official word from eBay is that THEY will not reopen my auctions that should have automatically been extended and weren't, but I am not "obligated" to sell these items and may relist them. In other words, it is my choice whther to allow the auctions to stand or relist. So do I relist them, and incur the wrath of the "winners" and possibly negative feedback, or do I allow them to stand and take the large financial loss?

Have these auctions already ended and have winners? If so, you could forward a copy of ebays email to your winners where ebay told you that you do not have to sell them and do have the right to relist.....test the waters and see what the reaction is....If it's receptive then you could relist and send them a link to your new relists.
