Okay, with all the trouble of the past week on Ebay, let's lighten the mood a bit by posting some confessions of things you have put into your auction listings that were because you were bored or looking for a laugh...

Just saw a GI Joe auction that had one shot of the doll lounging naked in front of his space capsule, posed like a bikini model and had to LOL. What have you done?? C'mon, we all need a good laugh!

I once listed a "12 inch PEE WEE" (doll) and posed him with his hands at crotch level in tribute to Pee Wee's adult misadventures, and it got bids like crazy!

So, what have you done?? C'mon, we all need a good laugh!

I once listed a pee wee doll too and had a series of pictures in a row of him hands in front hands in back hands in front to make him look like he was doing the pee wee dance that my kids copy from him.

I haven't really done anything funny, but I take my kid's big stuffed animals and pose them with some of my items (when it applies). A giant pooh bear with toddler clothes, a giant white snow tiger with a leopard-print dress, books stacked with school clothes....

I think it makes viewing less mind numbing for shoppers who have been looking for hours in the same category.

Now you have given me a new direction...outright humor. Thanks!

I just did an ad for a fuzzy headed GI Joe and added a bit on male pattern baldness to describe the few areas of missing hair. As my wife says, "Honey, you've been at the computer too long and are getting slap happy sily" Guilty!

I blamed a missing tail on set of cat salt & pepper shakers on Tom next door.
I know sick! Sent them to Japan.

My friend told me he could sell anyhthing on Ebay. And he was right.

He sold a used pair of socks and a container of water from the pacific ocean he got in front of his house.

2 bucks for the socks and as I recall something like 5 bucks for the water

last year i bought a box of salt and peppers at an auction and it came with a box of broken and mutilated barbie dolls that nobody would bid on.

on a dare from hubby, i listed the barbie dolls as mutilated. heads were split, some missing limbs, writing with ink, hair gone. they were a true mess.

they sold for $15.00 buy it now within an hour of listing and the buyer paid to have them express shipped to Universal Studios, Hollywood.

I am eagerly awaiting the movie they star in

I wonder what wording they put in the search engine: "mutilated barbies"?

I'm afraid to sell anything that has so much as a scratch on it! LOL!!!!

Did you win a prize for winning the dare???

about the barbie dolls. if they had any age to them, i sold a set of macrabe barbie doll parts and they ended up selling for $60.00. I didn't think anybody would bid on them but they went crazy. I was afraid the guy would send them back but he was very happy with them.

I once listed a Boy Scout beret. It was to floppy to get a decent picture of on the table, and I couldn't talk anyone into modeling it for me, so I slapped it on the dome of a gumball machine, photographed it and listed it. I put a note in the description that the gumball machine was not included in the auction, but I would be listing it within the next two weeks and if anyone was interested they should check my auctions regularly.
