My mother sends me her Kovel's newsletters when she is done with them. In the one I read last night, a reference was made to a powerseller with over 6000 fb who suddenly scammed his bidders. His last auction ended January 5th, and almost immediately people started complaining to ebay. The newsletter said eBay didn't take action until January 20th (actually, that seems quick for ebay) and bidders are out about 500k. The newsletter gave the sellers ID name and the name of the detective to contact if one had been scammed by this seller.
I tried entering the sellers ID to look at the FB, but ebay says it is not valid. I don't have the newsletter in front of me, but it gave his real name as well as his ebay name. He sold figurines, pottery, "wee" something, etc.
His ebay name was something like rfnetquest. Why would a 6000+ seller go bad?

Now that I see the link posted above, I realized this was discussed before. Sorry to bring it up again.
I'm just surprised that ebay doesn't show any record of this seller.
At least the bidder who was hacked last week is still in the system for viewing. I'm talking about the one who supposedly left all the neg fb for sellers on the same day. I see all the fb has been removed.

his wife is filing divorce.one explanation is that he has gambled online and lost money.
thats why feedback is not indicative of future performance.
never understand how ebay gets away by just being a venue?
