On the invoice of an item that closed a few days ago, it says that the buyer paid with "off e-bay credit cards*" though I was never notified that a payment had been made. I have no idea what this is or how to collect the money. I am set up for PayPal & Billpoint but no record of this payment appears in either of my accounts there. I did not give any other credit card options in my ad. Can anyone give me an insight before I contact the buyer??

is this an end of auction email from ebay??
this could be a message saying he is going to pay you with his cc,if you have a merchant account or have a way to directly key in his cc number.
propay is one way.

No, I never got an e-mail from ANYONE about the payment. Several days had passed since I sent an invoice to the buyer & I was just checking on the status by going to "check-out" for that item. That is where it said it had been paid with "off ebay credit cards." There is no hint of how I am supposed to actually COLLECT this payment or from whom! There is nothing coming down the pipes at BillPoint or PayPal. I am not familiar w/ propay. If it is like PayPal, wouldn't I have received an e-mail about it?? It has been at least 3 days.

No, there was no e-mail. I sent an invoice to the buyer. I received no response. Before sending the buyer a payment reminder, I decided to click on the place on my ad that appears after bid closes where you can check the payment status, & that is where the line appeared about the payment being made by off ebay credit cards. I know this is confusing but I never received any sort of payment e-mail. That is why I don't know how to collect because I have no idea where "off ebay" is. Well, I just e-mailed the buyer & hopefully we'll get this mystery solved. Thanks for your input.

No Problem - Just email your bidder and ask him how he would like to pay so you can Reserve his item. You should get enough info to help him get you paid. Help him out tell him how to pay " Send a check or money order to this address" or Tell him your paypal account info and give him the url so he can find it. make sure you follow up - ask him to email you when payment goes out so you can "Watch for it" then email them when you get it. If you are helpful they will appreciate it.
Good Luck
