I sold a dvd, and was planning on sending it priority mail but the dvd was just a tad too big for the priority mailer. so I went to walmart and bought a bubble envelope. The customer is worried about it being damaged. How should I mail this dvd to prevent damage??

Hello
See no one is answering so I'll take a shot at it. "Customer worried" is code for customer problems when it arrives. Use the original box and packing or one similar or have it professionally packed. Insure it as well. Anything less and you will likely have problems.

The buyer paid for insurance and delivery confirmation.
I've recycled a bubble mailer that I just got with a package I bought off ebay in the mail today and so it is double bubble mailered. Hopefully that'll be good enough. Last time I sent a package across country, it arrived looking like the post office ran it over. All my boxes are either too small or way too big. Don't want it bouncing around in there lol.

What I do when I have to ship an item Priority and don't have the right size box .... is use 2 or sometimes 3 largest size priority boxes to make one big box... need to use a lot of tape but sure works great & PO doesn't mind !! You can do this with just about any priority box

Is the DVD larger than the box one size up from the #4 box? You must have a box somewhere that it will fit in. If you said Priority then that is the way it should be mailed. You should be able to pack it tight with any box that you have. I ship first class so I never give the opportunity for them to choose delivery confirmation, but if they ask for it I will. I sell an item that has a plastic protector box around it and I still make a box to go around it. I like my items when they get delivered to the buyers to look nice and it doesn't cost any extra. Also I always use a new bubble envelope, never a used one. You can't get delivery confirmation in 1st class.

As a former pack-n-ship store owner and mail-order shipping manager, I can tell you a bubble mailer is out of the question for a DVD player and not an especially good idea for a DVD disk. Keep in mind the Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, etc. all require proper packaging in order for a claim to be paid in the event of damage.
For a DVD player, you need to bubble wrap the machine several times, then put the machine in a box. Then, you would need to bubble wrap that box several times before sliding it into a second, snug fitting box. Under no circumstances can the contents be allowed to slide/move inside the box. An alternative approach would be to simply bubble wrap the player on all sides with four inches of bubble wrap, and, then slide the unit into a snug fitting box.
For a DVD disk, you need to bubble wrap the outside of the disk's plastic case a few times and then, put it into a snug fitting box. If it's a low value disk, then you could probably get away with bubble wrapping the disk case and then, sliding it into a bubble mailer.
