Let me preface by saying this is not my auction but I do know the seller.

*link edited* for offending the sensibilities of a poster.

Look at the hits on this thing. Anyone want to venture a guess at what it might close at?

It's fun to watch so many others watching.

I have asked the seller to come on over and join the discussion. He's pretty jazzed (pun intended) about this auction - don't think he thought it would get this much attention.

I don't know what this Item wil close at but this surly could be seen as some major auction spam.

my guess is if you post this at enough message boards this ITem will close $1 short of a billion and the winner will be a dead beat..

I have edited out the link because dman found it offensive.

Sorry, I thought this was the place to talk about stuff and Ebay.

I didn't find it offensive at all pclady I was just giving a friendly warning when you post active auctions to these boards you open them up to pranksters.

like an open challage to the web to make this a record high auction sale , with a good bet that the serious buyers will be out bid by thousands of millions.

I'm curious. You said "hits", did it have any bids????

I had an auction once that had 430 views and closed at the opening bid in a last minute snipe.

I have also had auctions where it seemed that everyone who looked at it bid!

I prefer the latter.

I hope your friend does well, but I personally have learned not to put too much store in "hits". I wish that was not based on personal experience.

I won't put the link back up but the trumpet is a Benge Claude Gordon if that means anything to anyone.

All the way up to $450.00??? Opening bid was $400.00, so $450.00 doesn't seem that high to me.

Upon a little research it may go up another 200.00 or so, but maybe not much more. We'll see. I'll post the link after the auction closes on Sunday.
