Is there a way to find auctions that accept C2it? I joined, have money in account and can't find sellers who take C2it. Now I see they charge to transfer to another account. Thank you for your help. Read here often

Hi Sandraj
it's easy....here's an example...let's say you want to check the people offering c2it
in children's books.....go to ebay's home page and click on books. Then enter c2it in the search box and check both 'books only' and 'title and description' and click the search button. Next you'll see about 4200 entries that have c2it somewhere in the auction description. To narrow it to children's books, look over on the left and click the children's category. Then about 400 entries will appear.
It's too bad c2it has made itself so difficult to join and use...it took me three tries and mounting irritation to join. That was over a month ago...since then I've had only one person use it...oh well...So welcome to the small crowd with persistence.

I have signed up for it. I have it listed in my auction description as a payment method, but nobody uses it.
I am also thinking of getting rid of it because their customer service stinks. I have a friend that signed up and I thought I would have gotten the referral fee. It has been over two months and I havent received it. I have written to them on numerous ocassions and their answer "We referred it to out technical department".
Two months later and still no answer. All this over $5.00. C2it stinks. There is no way it will compete with paypal.

I use c2it as a seller.
I get about 5 payments a week from bidders that use them. They are improving. Much better now then when I first signed up back in July. I have also received about $200 in referral fees in the past 3 months. I have a lot less problems with them now then I did in the beginning.
So, if you want to spent your money check out my auctions.
If you have funds at c2it you can transfer them to your bank account at no charge.

We've had 2 buyers use it. With the first one we didn't get an email telling us but on the second one we did. It sure would save a lot of money in fees if more people would use it. Don't know how hard it is to make a payment. Once you have you account set up and everything it's not hard to get your money.

Never had one Buyer EVER ask for it. This is Probably in over 1000 Transactions. Have seen maybe in the 200 items I have bought on eBay, only 2-3 seller's pushing it.

I offer C2it in all of my auctions and a promo of Free shipping when you pay by C2it
But come auction end time around 1 buyer a week will end up using paypal because they had so many errors trying to log in to C2it that they gave up.
One would THINK that with Citibank and all their money and resources they could create a system the FRIGGIN WORKS........

After a long, involved attempt at registering (see http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=51&thread=229) I offered c2it for three months.
Not a single bidder wanted to use it.
The day I cancelled the account was the day that someone tried to pay me. They opted for a money order, instead.
I wouldn't wish this service on some of my deadbeat bidders...

One of my CC's is from CitiBank so I checked
up on it. There were a few things in the
user agreement that I could NOT agree too
(I don't remember what they were now, as it
has been months), so I didn't sign up.
Nobody has ever asked if I take it. Heck,
I've only had one person ask if I take
BillPoint (I don't). M.O., Cashier's Checks,
cash, Personal Checks and PayPal (by far the
#1 way I am paid; replacing M.O.'s from
before I took PayPal). Good luck!

I dropped C2it because of the bad customer service I had last week.
My wife ordered a "free" teddy bear where all she had to pay was $2.95 shipping via c2it (only payment option offered). Besides getting charged twice, our bank charged us a $15 cash advance fee (twice) when it came through our credit card. C2it said there was nothing they could do.
I am satisfied with PayPal & BillPoint that I don't need another one....

I love using c2it. You can get a great response from any problem by calling their cust service dept. (not emailing) They answer phones quickly 24/7. I do not have a lot of buyers use it but enough to pay me monthly credit card bill which is linked to my acct. Bill is paid by a couple clicks on the keyboard. As for referrals, they do take time but I have had more referral payments then payments received by buyers. Can't figure that one out but no complaints. Keep the $5 coming. Plus I received $10. for sending payment for an auction for the first time. Every new company has problems but I think they are great!
