Ok, I'm ready to take the plunge and get a second ebay ID. I want to sell some things that I don't want associated with my current ID. First off, I'm a little worried about getting bids on a 0 feedback with sunglasses ID. Second, I asked AW what I can do through them to list under seperate ID's, and their answer is that I have to take out a new account including the monthly fees. Well, I don't want to do that, because the only thing I'm going to sell under that ID is things I don't want my family and friends to see - old gifts they may have given me etc. It's not going to be a lot. How are ebays Mister Lister and their other programs? I really like the thumbnail pic that you get when you list through ebay, but I tried Mr. Lister over a year ago and found it very confusing for a computer novice. Has it improved? If I can get the hang of a new program I may move my other ID from AW too. With that ID I do about 1000 listings a month - so I need something easy to use. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

If it is going to be just a few items, why not just list through ebay, without software? I am on my third ebay ID now, I have a selling ID for ebay, I have a selling ID for half.com (used to be my buying account for ebay) and I have a new buying account. However, I have thought about selling somethings as well on the half.com account since I can use it for ebay now too - Things that I normally do not sell, and things that might be more problematic, or that I want to have different terms of service for. For that, I plan on just listing manually on ebay's site, and managing it manually as well. Don't plan to do that too often, just a few here and there.

Well, to be honest my husband has ideas about selling other items on this ID as well. Things I don't want my name associated with (although the accounts in my name, so in the long run I would be). Not pornography or anything like that - or the infamous I'm leaving ebay cd, but gimmicky types of things. If it takes off, I'd rather have easy listing abilities. He knows less about computers than I do, and I know that I would be the one doing all of the listings.

What's wrong with having a second AW account? Get a standard account and you only pay for what you use. I have two listing ID's and have them set up through two different AW accounts. The only problem is if I'm busy with both at the same time is the constant login and logouts when switching from one account to another. Otherwise, it's worked out great for me. Besides, we can always use another voice to help lobby AW for a billing plan to combine multiple accounts for a price break
The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

Actually I never thought of that. I kept thinking I didn't even want to pay $200.00 a year, but I think the standard plan is even cheaper than that. I have to look at that one.

Yep, standard plan is inexpensive.

$0.10 for the first 50 listings (in the billing cycle); $0.05 for every one after that.

1% FVF for all listings.

If you don't use AW to launch, the image hosting is $0.10 for the first image in a listing and $0.04 for each additional image.

No FVF is assessed.
