i recieved a message from a buyer, saying I sent him the wrong item. He tells me he recieved a vhs movie instead of a expensive brand new nintendo64 game he wanted. since I cannot contact the other buyer who gotten the game instead of the video, and since the video is worthless I told him to keep the video and refund him on the game, and crossed my fingers the other buyer will be honest enough to return the game.
a month pass by, nothing, until 6 weeks later I get a email from half.com, saying the buyer gotten a game instead of a movie. Told half.com to refund the guy for the movie when I get the game back. Well today I gotten the game back, and not only was it opened, the instruction was ripped, and the cartridge was full of greasy fingerprints with the cartridge full 0f wear and tear, and the box was damaged by obviously a human hand! ):
I wish I can file something on this turkey, but as usual this is half.com, buyer is always right, they can commit fraud with no protection for sellers, but to me this was my last straw at half.com, (first the loser who REFUSED the package with a rare gameboy game, who then wanted a refund and the item back, despite it being lost in mail, so I am out of a rare game AND 50 bucks as half.com took away 50 bucks from my account, then the guy who buys a new OOP dvd, worth 100 bucks at ebays, claimed I lied in my ad that it was new, as e claimed I sold him used, I gotten it back, dvd looked like someone rollerskated on it, lost 90 bucks as half.com took that away from me, then someone buy a remake of a old classic, despite the page having the image and cast list CLEARLY showing this is the remake, the buyer claimed I lied and mis-advertised it as being the original, never returned the item, half.com took 20 bucks away from me, buyer called me a crook!)
Anyway, what would you have done if someone returns a wrong item that was sent and return it ruined? ? Any advice would help.

I don't imagine there is anything you can do about it. Ebay sellers, as well as buyers, trust almost everyone, but there always seems to be some bad apples around. If you depend on ebay to survive I feel bad for you, but as I said I doubt if there is anything you can do. Good Luck

I think I've noticed a lot of comment on eBay and Half.com sales by sellers who are saying that all the "toys for boys" categories, like video games, movies, and CDs and such, are more trouble for the sellers. I don't know the ages of your buyers in this instance, of course, but I have noticed that younger men, not to mention teenagers, just don't know common courtesy and are (as a group!) more likely to pull stunts. There are some long-time sellers who steer clear of those categories. I am one of them, for now at least.

Hi, I sell this stuff at ebays too, but at ebays, I had no problems whatsoever, and the bidders who try to cause problems, usually a letter explaining my TOS or a letter with "think about it" points usually scare away potential scam artist, BUT at half, it is like a cesspool of scam artist and troublemakers for me. i hate to give ebays listing fees, but at least ebays can sometimes help you while half.com is 100% on the buyers side. ):
