Hi everyone, i was wondering how many listings you all do in a typical week. By typical i mean peek not mid summer. Also i was wondering how many people you have doing the work, listing, replying to e-mails, packaging and so on. Let me know, i am really curious. Also do you list every day or how often.

I think the average eBay seller is merely a hobbyist trying to make a few spare dollars a month or trying to clear out the clutter out of their homes.

Many sellers list on other venues as well as eBay. For instance, items that take a while to find a buyer can not be listed on eBay very effectively.

I try to keep 5 to 10 items on eBay at all times and usually use the 7 day duration. I do it for fun and to make a few extra bucks.

I try to put up 20 or so new things a week, and I have about 75 items in inventory that I have large numbers of. I put another 20 or 30 of those up. I consider myself small because most of my things sell for $5 or $10.

I average 40-50 auctions a week. All my items are unique so a description and photos for each is needed. I usually split the listing into 2 days sometimes 3. I work by myself and between finding these items to sell and selling them on eBay it is a full time job.

I list about 300-400 auctions a month. My auctions run for 7 days... then I wait about two-three days and start a new weeks worth of auctions. The two-three day waiting period gives me an opportunity to send out EOA notices, prepare my new auctions, and make "personal offers" on the past weeks merchandise. Basically, I'm able to list three batches of 100-125 auctions this way in a month's time period. I am a one man operation... but really don't have much of a problem keeping up with things. It's all about time-management!

I work full-time as a nurse and my husband works part-time. He runs to the post office and helps me package, but I do all the listings. I do about 150-200 a week. I do have 40 or so in inventory that I have multiples of, so that total includes hitting the launch button for those once or twice a week.

Between 400 and 500 listings per week. I use no bulk listing tools. My sweetie wrote a program that automagically sends out EOAs, so that is saving me nearly an hour per day.

Depends what items you're looking at. I have a good video dealer that I get them for 75 cents each, some videos I buy at Goodwill (the ones that aren't new) for 49 cents each. I can't remember what else I have up for auction right now, but most everything else I buy at Goodwill or rummage sales. I start everything about $1.00 higher than what I paid for it and I charge 50 cents handling (about) which is built into my shipping charge. I figure it's kind of like doing the $1.00 no reserve tactic. If it sells at my opening price I break even, but most often I get a few bids.

Edited to add - I forgot I had one day when I didn't have time to list anything so I was trying to relist of some of videos that don't sell well. I'm still debating if it's worth listing anything at 25 or 50 cents. With every video load I get shipped to me there are always some bad ones in the batch. Sometimes I think the more I list the better because more people will look and maybe buy the ones that don't sell well (pretty often with a BIN of either 1.99 or .99). Otherwise they just get donated to Goodwill or combined with others to make one large video lot.
