Ok, I know this must have happened to some of you...I received this notice today

We ask that you do "NOT" re-list the items or auctions that were ended
without the approval of the Content Holder and eBay, or it could result
in your immediate account suspension.

***In addition, please note that your account is currently being
reviewed for suspension due to the number of violations in the past few
months.***

I had 6 Microsoft products verod in one night, so yes, that is excessive. I truly thought I read Microsofts about me page and put in the auction not OEM, not academic, not copies, etc. But they were veroed anyway. I found out it was because I was missing the liscensing agreement piece of paper. I did what ebay said and contacted Chase, but I'm still worried. If I explained my situation and begged and pleaded will they not suspend me?

If they do suspend me will in only be for the 30 days and then I can come back and play? Anyone else have this problem? I'm really not a bad person!

I got 6 in one day because they were all Microsoft software that I truly thought were ok to sell. They weren't even mine..I was selling them for a friend (I already told him no more Microsoft) I did receive this from Chase this morning.

Since you have agreed to not re-list the items removed, then we will not
suspend your account at this point. Please understand that any further
occurrences of items being removed through VeRO could lead to suspension.
It is good that you have contacted the rights holders that had your listings
ended.

Yeah! I can play for a little while yet.

I think this is a good example of not listing items for friends. Wow, I bet you were scarred I would have been. What kind of things were you selling as to give us a hint not what to do. Now, wouldn't you think that Microsoft had better things to do than go through ebay's auctions. One of the richest companies and they object to a few items being sold. I doubt that anyone of the small sellers on ebay are taking any money away from them. Oh just venting.

I was REALLY scared. I could handle a 30 day suspension since it's summer and I have a regular job (money would be tight, though). But if I was banned altogether I'd lose my obsession - my ebay addiction!

Anyway, I list for this couple that I met at Goodwill. Once a week we meet, and I give them a check and they give me more "stuff" (he collects electronics and she does glassware). I listed a Microsoft Office for him a couple of months ago that got veroed. I didn't know what OEM meant at the time. This past week he gave me 6 more Microsoft products. I told him I didn't want to list them, but he said they are the full version - not OEM, and they should be legal. Well, I looked over Microsofts "about Me" page just to be sure and they seemed like they were ok. He also gives me previous auctions on everything he gives to me so I know what catagory to put it under etc. and there were other completed ones just like his (I very much need other peoples closed auctions with the glassware or computer parts because I don't know anything about those items).

Well, I listed them and 2 days later they were pulled. I did email Microsoft to find out why (so I don't make the same mistake again). You can't list a Microsoft product without the original manual, user agreement, and licensing agreement.

I just will never list Microsoft again - not willing to take any more chances. He wants me to try to list them on Yahoo for him, but I'm not sure about that either. I told him I'd think about it (haven't read Yahoos agreement yet).

Just curious...why don't these people list their own stuff? And looking over other people's auctions is fine, to get ideas on how to describe, photograph, etc., but I'd be careful about NOT copying their ads or pictures. In fact, I would make the owners of the item write up a description for each item, then make sure THEY didn't copy the ads

I don't know why they don't do it themselves - not enough time, maybe. I offered to teach them how, but they just want me to do it. I charge them 25%. They run off an old ad (usually one that is closed) and I take the pictures myself and create the ad. They only tell me what to start it at. I use the old ads so I know which catagory it should go into and what types of things are important to mention (type of marks on glass pieces for example). I don't copy the ad. It takes me about 3 hours a week to do their items, and they are expensive enough pieces that I make at least $100.00. To me it's worth it - but no more software.

MAY BE THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN SUSPENDED??
just a thought.
or may be they are asking several sellers to sell for them.

I don't think they are asking anyone else to sell for them - although they've been regulars at goodwill for many years and they say their house is FULL. They are the typical "pickers". They sit at Goodwill all day on weekends waiting for the new cart to come out. I'm in and out of there - don't have the patience to sit there. They only have 4 feedbacks - all from buying, so I don't think they've ever been suspended unless they have figured out a way to obtain a new ID. Now he wants me to try to list the software on Yahoo. I don't know about that - I would assume they have the same rules as ebay....

You know the more you write about this couple I would be highly suspicious that they have probably been suspended as sellers from eBay. As buyers do they have to submit a credit card to purchase? If they don't eBay wouldn't recognize them. (I think). They seem to know a little to much about selling. How would they know about YaHoo?
Maybe coincidence, but then I don't know. They have to be selling someplace if they stay at the goodwill all day long and probably not just on Saturdays. I would not list those Microsoft items anyplace. Give them back to them and tell them what kind of items you will sell for them or tell them to do their own. Good Luck
