Won an ebay auction, nothing unusual just 20 yards of fabric weighing ten pounds. It was shipped the morning of July 16 and is still not here in WV. Their log said it was in WV yesterday, but was it delivered today? Noooo Here's the tracking number, wish it were earning frequent flyer miles.

I got a better one. Sent out a table to Texas. After a week, the buyer emails me and tells me that according to the website, it is in Mesquite, Texas and has been there for three days. Told him I would put a trace on the package and get back with him.
Two days later, I get a phone call from a client in Boca Grande who had been in my shop two weeks previous. When she came she dropped off two chairs for my husband to work on. Those chairs were mailed to her and she brought the box too. She asked if she could leave the box. Being a good packrat, we told her DEFINITELY.
We packaged up the table to the buyer in Texas in this box and another one. The other box, completely covered her box (including the UPS label from her box).
Anyways, the phone call I received from the lady in Boca was wondering why she received a table from us. I don't even want to get into the anger she gave me over using her box (how dare I-LOL).
What happened was this - sometime in Mesquite, UPS damaged the item. They opened the box to inspect their damage, repackaged it, with the old UPS label on the outside and some idiot sent it through the system on the old mailing label. My tracking number still lists the item as being in Mesquite Texas.
Unbelievable!!!
I would anticipate you are going to learn that your item was damaged by UPS and when they opened the box, they have somehow destroyed the mailing label and it is still sitting around the UPS facility. Have the shipper order a trace on the package (takes 7-10 days) and a lost claim can be filed with UPS.

Oh my! Where's the TUMS!
My incoming UPS packages bounce back and forth between 2 major facilities with me in the middle. The tracking page is hilarious to read. So far, nothing lost!

My brother, several years ago, made the mistake of too acurately declaring what was in the package (German beer steins)he was shipping. Of the 5 he shipped, only 2 made it, as the others were replaced by Sea World plastic drink cups, in a very neatly openned and resealed package. His insurance claim was denied, as they said there were 5 items in the package when it was delivered! Even though it was not the same 5 he shipped.

According to the tracking number you provided above, the package just arrived in WV for the very first time today on 8/24.
On Thursday 8/22, it was in IL.
On Friday 8/23, it was in OH.
On Saturady 8/24, it is in WV.
It also shows that the package was incorrectly routed to CA twice, which accounts perfectly for the delay.
I suspect the sender shipped to the wrong zip code.
Technically, if you had contacted UPS after the first incorrect routing, you would have probably received it weeks ago.

Shipper is in California and UPS has been advised of their errors every step of the way. And yes, it says those other locationa NOW. But as I described it has indicated on both Thursday and Friday that it arrived in West Virgia then the info changed the next day.
