seller claimed to have shipped 10 copper coins in a padded envelope with cardboard paper, the usps receipt shows correct zip code and postage of 83 cents.
package never arrive,is 83 cents enough to ship 10 coins??
thanks for any comments .

The question is a little vague. Copper coins could be of varying weight. Were they US pennies, or some other coins?...larger?...smaller?

Without looking, I think .83 is up to 3 ounces by first class.

Just for the heck of it, I weighed 10 US pennies on my postage scale, and they weighed exactly 1.0 ounces.

So with a piece of cardboard and a padded envelope, the .83 could have been possible (if I'm right about it being for 3 ounces - which I meant to look up, but haven't yet). But again, it would depend on the weight of the coins, as well as the size of the envelope, and what type and size cardboard was used.

10 pennies and a piece of cardboard weighing 3 ounces can be shipped for 83 cents. that is a flat rate from east coast to west coast.

BUT

what kind of coins did he ship you? if they weigh for than pennies than no. they would cost more to ship. your question is to open ended.

When was the item shipped? It's very possible this order got jammed and destroyed in USPS's machines.

it was shipped on the 8th of august ,so ??
ship to a mailbox place and the owner is always crying he cant make ends meet!!
rent is 2900 and total cost is 5200.
he charged me 1.00 extra for shipping usps after saying he is not allowed to do that.
then he hopes usps will make him a postal station and pay him for acting like post office.
he does not recognise most of the forms of usps and does not know what to do with them.
he said he has 3 stores, one is in beverly hills and he has an aggressive expansion plan.
lately he is almost in tears and refer me as his best customer when i walk in with just one package.
once he charged me 5 for shipping a book to danmark by air,and the post office returned it and ask me to resubmit to a real post office.
i did and the postal clerk weighed it and asked me for 10 more dollars.
may be his parents are so well heeled they dont mind subsidising him.
do these outfits ,this one is called postal connections make you sign multi year lease,do they ask you to buy all these fancy pc with software??
his phone recording machine always said his time is better spent with customer and he cant come to the phone, who is he trying to avoid??the creditors??

SO, the USPS doesn't not consider anything lost until 30 days have passed. That's why I asked when it was mailed.

the package is not insured and it is a waste of time to file a report with usps.
