Can anyone advise me what they do and don't consider to be "keyword spamming"? No, I'm not guilty of it, but I've been finding more and more pulling up irrelevant items in searches (including those inane "I'm leaving Ebay" CD auctions). Can these guys be stopped or is there a loophole they're getting around?

Can't view it because it is to large. But the question I have is anyone stupid enough to fall for this or the other stupid ones they have to sell?

Hello
Key words (Spamming) in my view are very important. I try to make my header so anyone typing in a key word in search would be lead to my auction. That is likely why the header is limited. For instance if you are selling a leather book written my Jack Webb on the subject of leadership which has a retail of $100.00 the words leather, Book, Jack Webb, Leadership should be in the header. Once the prospect gets to your ad they would see retail $100.00 as well. I don’t call that spamming I call it good marketing. Perhaps I am missing the point but I see nothing wrong in getting your ad out to as many as possible.

Font colors are 6 digits. If you mean 008000, it's green.
Dacreson is simply describing keywording which is perfectly fine.
Keyword spamming is not allowed. This is when you list a lamp as "like Shabby Chic" or some kahki pants as "like Dockers".
It is also when you fill the text description of your ad with a bunch of words or phrases that have absolutely nothing to do with the item for sale. Most sellers do use white text for this. If you right click to highlight the description, you will be able to see their "invisible text".
So, if you are selling a leather book written my Jack Webb on the subject of leadership, the words leather, Book, Jack Webb and Leadership are allowed. The words video, candles, kitchen tile or Jack Lemmon should not be in your title or description.

The CD auctions you are talking about are so filled with various words that do have something to do with the CD, that it really isn't spamming. It may be annoying to you, but spamming it is not. If I recall correctly, this person lists almost every maker of products that you could possible buy wholesale from in order to sell on ebay, as well as a bunch of other stuff on the CD.

Search tip:
When searching Titles & Descriptions add a space and then -(CD) to the search box. This will exclude the results that include that CD in them (obviously not a good idea if you are searching for an actual CD).
You can expand on what to exclude by adding words with a comma in between but no spaces.
