I've got a situation where I need a customer to return a heavy item.

I asked fedex if I can just send them one of my FedEx prepaid ground shipping lables and have them just drop it off at a fedex location.

The FedEx lady hemmed and hawed and said that the 'right' way was to issue a call tag (at $7 per box) and have fedex pick up the item (another fee).

She wouldnt tell me that just sending the label wouldnt work though and I got the impression from her that it would work but she just wasnt allowed to say so.

Anyone used these for inbound shipments?

I really don't see why it wont work, I use FedEx
internet shipping for prepaid shipments. I would edit the shipping FROM address to the customers address with you name & sned it to your self.

I have done this with UPS too for shipments directly from one of my vendors to a customer. It saved on shipping fees from my vendor to me then to the customer.

I use FedEx Ground on a contract basis. I have prepaid labels that have my acct. number on them. Although I am in CA. I shipped from IL just by putting the barcode label on the box. It worked for me & I don't see why it wouldn't do the same for you.

I did it once. I just made the label into a pdf file and emailed it to the person.
Just click the button for changing the ship from address and put there address in when making the label.
