I've read some horror stories about launching through AW. I have a bunch of auctions scheduled for launch in a week or so, but now I'm wondering if things have improved with AW's launching and picture services.

I have been using AW for 3 years now and LOVE IT ~ LOVE IT ~ LOVE IT !

I know sometimes they have problems but not that often and always seems to happen in spurts !!

Thanks for the reassurance. I too have sold on ebay through AW for a couple of years, no problems at all, but not much this summer. But some recent threads have scared the Bejeezus out of me. Just wondered!

I too have been using AW for 3 yrs. with very few problems. This last month has been the worst & hopefully they have that cured. If you read the notice they posted, it seems that their ISP was the one at fault, not AW. I wouldn't change for anything.

I'm just choosing a service, and was wondering why you chose AW vs Andale or Auctiva? Andale looks especially good to me. Thanks for your insights.

I have been launching auctions through Auctionwatch since they first started the service, and I can only recall two times when I could not list. There have been backlogs and delays in launching after I have submitted listings, but only once was it prolonged enough to warrant rescheduling for another time. Any service that uses computers will have problems, glitches and crashes. That can't be avoided. It's how quick the problems are resolved thats importand. I think AW excells in this department.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

the difference between the services is pretty much price. i think andale is way over priced. i have looked at the others as well and it just seems to me that aw is the better pick. aw's prices are so much more reasonable.

I personnaly think AW stinks. Especially this past week or two. It was down most of the day again today. I understand it happens only in some locations as a lot of people do not experience any problems at all. AW was down twice last week. I had auctions closing at those times and who knows how much money I lost those days. So three times in less than two weeks is too much for me. I have been shopping around and will find another hosting service real soon.

Yeah I was upset with the reliability this last month and ranted and raved about it. But looking back at it now from a much calmer perspective, it was really the only major outage in my 2+ years of using the service that I have experienced.

So in the end I will not leave AW, the incredible range of services is just too good to do without.

One other thing, while there are other similar services out there- I am not aware of any other that has an offline program written specifically to make it's members lives easier. Sales Manager Pro is getting better with every version, I can now honestly say that it is a robust and reliable program.

Their fees are very reasonable too!

Overall it is a very good service. Yea there are some things I would like to see improved, but every month or so I get a couple of new features to make my life better. It is a very good value. I looked at switching, but saw the others rates, and then I decided I really like AW.

Try Channel Advisor . . . they have a fix price regardless of number of auctions posted and don't charge a percentage. Just 29.95 per month. Oh, and they don't delete your images after a few weeks. Go to www.channeladvisor.com

CA is definetely the BEST online program right now! I've tried ALL & NONE compare to CA!
HOWEVER, having said that, I won't re-segn when my year ends in March! The price has just become plain SILLY!
$30.00/month is SIMPLY OUTRAGEOUS!

Fortunately, SD keeps improving as each week passes! At a laughable $4.99/mo, Tomas provides:
1)Image Hosting (with online file manipulation!)
2) Auction launching via the eBay API with a SCHEDULER
3) Gallery
4)PSM

Granted, these areas are not of equal quality with CA's -- but I'm confident that by MARCH, they will be pretty close!

I left AW well over a year ago after one of the big outages and never looked back.

I have used CA since then and have a flat rate of $120.00 per year with them as a Charter Member (so far they have stood by their guarantee of no fee hikes for Charter Members).

They are reliable and at $10.00 per month it doesn't get any better.

Virgo: They clearly stated that the "Charter" renewal was for the FIRST renewal year ONLY!

Come MARCH.....be prepared for $30.00/mo! TAIN'T WORTH NO $30/MO!! Not with SD getting BETTER & BETTER each week!

Hi again,

Thanks tomwiii for the heads up. Guess when the price goes up I will stop being lazy and go back to doing it all by my little old self!!

But I will check out your recommended service. Never hurts to take a look.

You guys that like CA or SD or whatever so much more than AW, why are you here? Why aren't you doing your message posting at the other sites instead?
