It's possible to borrow this seller's image but he has apparently added some HTML coding that prohibits any "copy and pasting" of anything on the auction page. Very clever. Does anyone know how he did it? There is no popup screen that usually occurs when the copy function is prohibited by a code.

I have two very different computers and I can not copy any of the information with either computer yet both of them can copy items from any other web page on the net.

I don't know if it will highlight or not. Highlighting doesn't show up. But that isn't how I would copy the add or pictures anyway.

This ebayer & I had some similar problems on eBay a couple of weeks ago & I am familiar with her auctions. When I asked her about her coding methods this is what she had to say:
I was tired of other sellers clicking and pasting my auction text into their auction listings, especially if I was selling books, where I type all the chapter titles and summaries out. I can get $25 for a book that other sellers can't give away for .99 cents and a lot of it has to do with the detail that I provide in my auction listings. But I did not want to completely keep someone from being able to save the page if they wanted to look at it later on. And I didn't care about the photographs, just about protecting my auction text.
Some sellers use a complete copy control code and its very annoying because you can't right or left click the mouse and you get error messages like Thief! or Gotcha! (the HTML author can write in any message that they want the end user to see). Both methods can easily be circumvented but it blocks the casual copy and paste thief from stealing your auction text.
