Don't you just love it when you get a email from a bidder telling you how to list your auctions.

I have been selling a number of lots of bullets for reloading. Lately they have been from partial boxes. I give a full description including brand name when possible and the quantity count. If I don't know the manufacturer, I state that and say they appear similar to "XYZ". I have enough experience in reloading & reloading components & enough catalogs to determine the manufacturer if the box is missing.

I get a email from a guy today stating "Hi, you really should send a picture with your auction. I know a lot of people that will
not bid if there is no picture".

I respond with "I have been selling bullets on Ebay for several years & have found that the purchasers know what the bullets look like & don't need a photo".

If I list a unique or rare item I do post photos. How many ways can you describe a full metal jacketed projectile?

I love my job, I love my job, I love my job. Everybody say it with me.....I love my job..

I understand - and you may sell more with a pic for the truely paranoid that want to see they are not green with corrosion. I saw an auction for a jewlers rolling mill last month that described it as in wonderful shape and the pic showed the whole machine including the surface of the rollers that should be mirror smooth covered in scaley rust!
But if someone needs a pic for bullets they probably should not be reloading! I envision a compressed load of fast burning powder.....

personaly, I dont buy anything without picture, if the pictures are not clear I even ask for better one,
but I dont buy bullets
maybe you really dont need pics but some buyers "feel better" when they see it,
but if you only had one complaint so far I wouldnt bother...

I almost always have a pic of what I am selling, this week I went to an auction & the had a box of 45 RPM records. No one was bidding, so at the last moinute,I bid $5.00. Bingo I won. 115 records all in Spanish!! Oh well, I only paid $5.50 for them. Put them on Ebay @$9.95. No Pics. They were bid on in the first 12 hrs!! Who knows??

I had an auction recently where I was selling an out of production pocket knife that has a certain amount of collectors value. I was contacted by an eBay member that stated he was something of an expert on such knives and offered to help me rework the listing to get the maximum bids. Being suspicious, I said "No thanks...I've already auctioned one of these before and am quite capable of listing it properly". I wonder if he wanted to rework the listing such that it would drive off the bidders making it cheaper for him to bid on it?

Send them this, then they may know what a bullet and a hammer look like.
