For quite a while now I've had a link to C2it in my emails to winning bidders on Ebay. In all that time several people emailed me that they had so much trouble setting up an account that they gave up.
I remember that it took me three very frustrating attempts before I succeeded, or so I thought.
Well, yesterday I finally got my first payment thru C2it. Then the fun began. In order to get the money transferred to my bank I had to jump thru pages of hoops, and then jump thru again, unsuccessfully, until I became so frustrated and angry I called them and vented.
She took it well and then told me that my original set up hadn't been completed because I hadn't called them on the phone to confirm a 10 cent deposit that they'd made....Are you kidding?
The upshot is that the designers and programmers of a huge company like City Bank ought to produce an easily flowing and simple
application proceedure instead of the complex Mess that we have to slog thru now....actually they should be fired.
I finally became so weary and frustrated I had her just send me a check, even tho it costs $3 (on a measley $12 item).
C2it, I give up...no more of you thanks.

it is just the opposite,in a big company such as citicorp, once the programmers complted the system ,it is turned over to production crew to just run it as is and the clerks take over the day to day tasks of serving the customers.programmers and analysts move on to other systems projects.
programmers do not know the system is cumbersome to use unless they get feedbacks from the clerks and to get them back to improve the system will require dept head to initiate requests and appropriate budget.
this is the same with billpoint and propay.
do you know with propay, your email addr will show up on your customer credit card statement,so if he does not recognise your email addr,he could file chargeback.
i have asked them to change to something more meaningful, the reply i get is that they are the pioneer in the online payment world and there wont be any changes coming.
so if you think paypal is bad,at least paypal keeps changing to adapt.

I don't think you can blame C2it since you didn't confirm your 10 deposit. That 10 cent deposit was a token amount for you to confirm so that they knew it was you. They were only trying to protect you. When that person sent your money they probably didn't even have you in their system. It happens.

other payment systems such as paypal and yahoo paydirect will make 2 deposits in your bank account and you can confirm them online.looks like c2it did not automate this feature, thats why you have to call.
did c2it spell this out when you register??

The C2it saga is really so sad.

When they came along, I had thought (hoped) that they might be a viable alternative to Paypal. A real, regulated bank alternative.

Although I never signed up with them, I kept "an ear to the ground" for awhile, and was saddened by the reports of their system being "user unfriendly".

When they did their survey through AW here while back, I had hoped they would regroup and revamp and come back with some "clout".

It seems it still has not happened. Sad, sad, sad - for them as well as us.

Has anyone tried the US Postal Service's online payment system for auctions?

I use their electronic bill payment system and it works great- one site to pay all your bills.

FREE is NICE...BUT NOT if folks CAN'T use the service!

With PayPal's CASH-BACK bonus, my fees are acceptably LOW!

PLUS...PAYPAL is GREAT!

C2it is a horrible site.

Citibank should know better.

Couldn't get the sign up to work, won't use it.

And I certainly wouldn't mention it to my customers. Concluding a sale is enough to ask from a buyer without sending them to some improperly designed site.
